I just got started on MediaTraffic. I have created a landing page and inserted the ROI tracking code. But I am not sure what the numbers mean. Does ROI number = number of clicks I got? For example, on the keyword "fitness" I have 240 views and the ROI number is 100. 100 clicks? Please help.

    ROI = Return on Investment"

    The ROI code goes on the "Sale Completed" or "Thank You" page for your offer. If you are doing CPA, then the code goes on the CPA offer's Thank You page. Soem CPA networks like Neverblue allow you to plae the code yourself. Most others will require that you email the code to your AM for them to place it for you.

    How it works - each time someone completes the offer, the thank you page is displayed and the ROI code (tracking pixel) is fired thus telling you that you made a sale in MT's reports section.

    Regards,

    John

    ps - The tracking pixels are not 100% reliable and most times you will see more actual sales than than ROI reported.

      yea, more like 50% reliable in my experience...

      For a number of reasons including this one, you really should be handling all the tracking yourself.

        I am actually promoting my own website using PPV. Since it is brand new, I am try to get some traffic to it. The landing page has a "buy now button" which is linked to my main website. So the questions is......What is the ROI number on Mediatraffic stats page. I know it is not clicks because I placed a tracking code on my "buy it now" button and the click number does not correspond to the ROI number from Mediatraffic. Please help. Thanks.

          If you placed the pixel directly on the page that is popping up then, in theory, the ROI number should equal # of views.

          But, the pixel is not 100% reliable, and this type of placement is not what you should be doing anyway...

          As mentioned, you should put the pixel on your 'thank you' page after a customer has completed a purchase. This will at least (sometimes..) tell you which targets are converting to actual sales.
