Why There's No Real Comprehensive CPA Course For Starters?

Hello CPA Warriors..

Despite being an established affiliate for 4 years now, I never tried CPA offers before for many reasons..

Now, I got my feet wet in this, and as being just starting, I looked for some comprehensive information regarding this type of business,
To my surprise..I couldn't find a real comprehensive information till now!

I'm talking about the type of information you find for ClickBank and Google Adwords that tell you how to sign up and what the CB marketplace values mean!!!

I know this weird, but if this type of information is just a fluff for CB and Adowrds, I find it essential for CPA

Even for someone like me spent years online, there're alot of things seem vague:

-Deployment, adding subIDs, rotation, ..suppression list...etc

I know this is plain English and you can guess what it means, but for God sake, why no one is trying to explain these terms and how things should be done the right way??!!

I can't figure out when I should perform this deploymwnt thing, and when I shouldn't, when I should place a pixel (and what on earth this means) ans when I shouldn't?

How to cloak a creative (banner) affiliate link and prevent my ID from showing in the browser the safe way, that keeps the link mine and the lead credited to me...

Basic knowledge for the starters is all what I ask for...

Every thread or report I came through, just ignores this info, and go on as if these are basics you born knowing them!

Any suggestions or recommendations for such basic information?

Well, I don't know about that either.
But, I'm curious to know 'bout it too.
    That would be good suggestion.

This is as start. Little information I know about Clickbank (I'm not trying to advertise it)

What is Clickbank? Clickbank has over 100,000 affiliates of digital products. Affiliates use Clickbank because Clickbank makes the process completely transparent to earn points. Advantage of these branches can significantly increase sales.

    Here's what you should do:
    * Join Clickbank (FREE)
    * Accept your ClickBank products to sell.
    * Keep a promotional site that the product is explained to potential customers.
    * Keep detailed technical support for the product pages on your site.

    In return, Clickbank are:
    Sale of a product.
    * Enter the product reviews.
    * Enable their affiliates to drive traffic to your site.
    * You can recruit new affiliates to advertise on the site.
    * Ensure you and all affiliates with real-time reporting of sales.
    * Send you and all affiliates a salary twice each month

To admin and anybody else, please don't consider it as spam ads, or affiliate promoting. I'm not doing that.

Sorry, but who said this thread is asking for information about ClickBank?

I have been working on Clickbank for 4 years and I think I don't need further info about it!

Kindly read the thread carefully before shooting a reply!!

I know what you mean, I have also just started to get into CPA and it is overwhelming. Specially since everyone says TRACK, TRACK AND TRACK some more, you have the Adwords conversion tracker, scripts like Prosper 202 and then they ask you to use SubID's, call back URL/Pixel, cloaking traffic and keywords from the networks, it just goes on and on. I also want to implement A/B testing since I want to split test campaigns/ landing pages from the get go.

I know people say read the forums, and I know there is a wealth of information, but it is not easily assimilated because there is so much and you have to dig a LOT before you find what you are looking for. Also when you are just starting off, you don't really know what to even look for.

Then you think, maybe I should buy atleast one course which will give you the basics, but after reading some opinions for the courses you hear people on one end saying 'Oh this one sucks and it's outdated due to the recent slaps' then someone else saying 'No, it is still relevant, it applies' etc. etc. Now if the courses are cheap it's fine, but you have courses running into thousands of dollars, so researching before you buy is vital. And whatever anyone says, it is extremely important to go through atleast some course, so that you have a base and you have some idea of what is going on.

Finally I guess it comes down to just applying what ever you could take in and learning along the way.

I have been doing SEO and Adsense for a while, but I looked into this because results are faster and I am always up for a challenge.

Anyway even after all this, I mananged to dig whatever I could and absorb as much as I can and I think I have some idea of what is going on. I found an offer that I want to promote and went ahead and installed the Prosper script, I have some understanding of SubID's etc now (I think). I am really determined to start my first campaign this weekend.

I just wanted to chime in because I understand the frustration, but luckily I had some time to kill last week and I really went through as much different documentation (few short CPA courses, Prosper tutorials, Adwords tutorials, Google website optimizer guide, threads in this forum etc.) as I could to try to understand, but yea I haven't found one book or course that does it ALL.

I know what you mean. I'm technically pretty good and have been making money online for a long time but when I started in CPA I thought my head was going to explode. I got frustrated and moved on to other things.

Maybe someday I'll try again

Sub IDs are just things you use to identify where your traffic and conversions are coming from, similar to Analytics. For example, my site onlinereviewclinic.com has banner rotations down the side and in the header for which I used Sub IDs like "banner ad 1" and "banner ad 2".

In the reviews, I used the Sub ID "review" for each seperate offer so I can tell if the banners convert better than the article reviews. Get it?

I'm not too sure what that deployment thing is either by the way. I think it's some way of notifying the network that you've deployed a marketing campaign for a particular offer albeit I'm not entirely sure...

The problem is, you can't email your affiliate manager to ask questions like this cos they'll probably think you're an idiot and delete you from the network lol! Just ask around on here and try to work it out for yourself and I'm sure it'll become second nature pretty soon.

Must admit though, aside from Neverblue the affiliate interfaces are pretty difficult to navigate at first.

I am just getting started in this too and I can agree with your frustrations.

Go to tracking202.com, sign up and watch the videos. Very good information about not only cloaking, but also explains the subid's to be able to track individual keyword performance, trackback url's etc. Its all free.

Check out adwords reinvented. Its available on clickbank. It will give you a very good, step-by-step introduction to the general concept, how to build a landing page etc. Everybody talks about landing pages but I had no idea about building one.

If you like to fiddle around with your business this is a great one for you. You make a small adjustment and can see within hours if it made a difference or not. If you are not an analytical nuts and bolts type person, this business is not for you.

I can take a guess, if you knew that there was a certain tree in the middle of the woods and everyday you went there and at the bottom of that tree there was $500. Everyday without fail, 7 days a week there was $500 at the bottom of that tree....would you tell anyone about it?

Of course not, why, bc you want it for yourself...now once someone finds out about your tree, well then the cat is out of the bag so to speak and then you can write a book about it telling the world all about that tree...

There's alot of very smart people making alot of $$$ with CPA...once that pot of gold starts to dry up you will see 100's of book about how to make it big with CPA...

I agree with you there Roozak. I came across CPA Marketing by accident within the last 10 days. Talk about a well kept secret. I really don't want to tell anybody about it. But I have found Gauher Chaudhry's site and 89 page report and Mike Morgans ebook PPC to CPA Roadmap very helpful. Of course those reports/videos/sites link you to other tools & reports that are helpful as well.

I think the reason there are no total comprehensive courses on CPA marketing out yet is for two main reasons:

    1) CPA marketing is still a young industry and more and more people are just beggining to find out what it is and the opportunity is has.

    2) People who "know" alot about cpa (and currently make money from it) don't want to share the information publicly because they don't want to create competition for themselves. Hence the general environment of confusion and lack of real information.

That said, the closet thing on the market right now to a comprehensive training course is probably PPC-Coach.com, which is a highly reputable course and I recommend you sign up for if you need direction.

    Good luck.

I suppose you went through saj P's stuff (Affiliate payload, ZFM) - he put's out a good product - Affilialte funnel system was nice + if you order one - he gives them all to you - like 6 courses for $67. CPA Tsunami - is $$$ intensive but comprehensive - for the serious business builder looking to create offers. Working through the clutter myself. Prosper 202 & tracking 202 have great videos - multiviariate get's deeper still - ppc-coach (fair program - may be better more personal coaching - Affilit was personal - any trial offers on these left & it's worth looking into. Don & Jeremy's has nice infor just didn't love the way it was organized (personal beef - but quality) - Just fast ideas - not a crafted post or sales letter - worthy thread topic GM123 : ]

goldmind123 - Just ask questions here. I see most any intelligent question answered thoroughly.
Personally, I've decided to dive into CPA and PPC without buying anymore courses (I did get Don + Jeremy's cpa course though). I actually like that there aren't a bunch of courses, I think they can be a real crutch. You can spend hours learning how to do something and not getting anything done. But if you find a method on one of the many posts that makes sense, you can start.

I started IM in the CPA genre.

I must say, be careful with most courses, ebooks, etc that you may find on CPA, as most teach you questionable techniques that could get you banned from most CPA networks.

You should think of CPA as marketing any other product on the net, weather it's your own, or clickbank, or anything else. My $0.02.

I have not taken the course called "CPA bootcamp," but it seems like this would be the kind of course that would go over a lot of "beginner" issues. I think there are a lot of courses out there that cover beginner issues, perhaps not all of them focus on those things, solely, though, as it's also about making money!

These are the questions that members ask almost daily on my forums.

The courses are there, the ebooks are there, your affiliate manager can help, but when you're sitting down and ready to get going, you have all the questions you've posted. That's where my site comes in nicely. I just added a 25 video step by step guide for month 1 members. It's the most I've ever done and I'm going to be updating the other months following the success of this step by step video guide.

I've found CPA to be a veritable minefield of trouble, unless you find a decent coach or do a LOT of research. Problem is, many of the books out there are from people who just write what they've read. No experience, they're just trying to sell their wares...

Have you tried searching google for the keywords yet?

"what does sub id mean on a cpa campaign"

"what does deployment for cpa campaign mean"

everything that you need to know is online on the web and all you have to do is search..it may not be the first or the second website but with some sorting and careful keyword selection phrases you can find anything and everything you need to know to succeed with cpa...all you need is some time and effort and you will find everything you need and with a little more time and effort you can make a ton of money with cpa.

    Good luck

Frankly you won't find anyone here willing to share their monthly income with you.
All CPA Courses are design to make the seller richer but never really show you how they did it, only the gist of it. Some that do, merely pick and choose any vertical which is not really proven.
Many here will post free advice just to build their reputation, its their way to show people here that they are sincere and helpful but in actual fact they are about to launch some WSO.
I bought all the CPA courses here and I am yet to make money with it. But to be fair I am yet to try 2-3 more strategies that are mentioned in the CPA Courses.

I recently only managed to make money in CPA but that too I have to think out of a box a little, using ideas from the manuals I purchased here Off course.

I only came across 1 WSO which really showed me everything step by step, very comprehensive but too bad it is not directed at CPA but Amazon.

I am still searching for what you're looking for too because I keep hearing people say track track track but How How How

But there are some very helpful Warriors here(CPA Section) but too bad their Help or WSO are not that newbie friendly, this is because they have become so successful and have outsource most of the nitty grity until they themselves forgot or don't know how to do it so they just tell you to outsource it- I might be wrong though.

Take a look at CPA Relapse by Imran Naseem: CPA Relapse - From ZERO To Thousands by "the people's marketer" Imran Naseem. Anoter excellent course is Rags 2 Riches by fellow warrior Kenster. These two guys are also very responsive to questions. I believe Kenster still has a WSO going on for his course. Imran's CPA Relapse is not only an e-book but also a set of videos. So it really depends what you like best.

I think the answer to your question is very simple. Promoting CPA offers is VERY easy. Almost too easy. What does that mean? If people really knew about it and it got really popular, all the big guys would have nothing to sell.

Notice how all the top information marketers mostly push Affiliate Marketing stuff. If CPA ever became really popular (as popular as affiliate marketing), no one would ever promote paid products anymore.
