Facebook Ad Rejections

It happens from time to time and its almost comical in how inconsistent these decisions can be.

I don't think many of these ad approvers know the difference between an MLM and an affiliate marketing course provider. And, sure, MLM has a rather dubious reputation in many quarters, but it seems to me that with exception of some obvious sectors like gambling or firearms, its really none of their business. I mean, who are they protecting by banning ads for CBD?

And this is all from a platform that is under constant criticism for ignoring hate speech and unfounded conspiracy theories. Go figure.

The ad I submitted was a video promoting a guide learning the ropes at Clickbank. Here's a platform that's been around since before many of these ad reviewers were born. Yes, there have been some problems over the years and it is not everyone's favorite platform, but it's a billion dollar company that has helped launch the careers of many successful online marketers.

I'll put the ad on YouTube and I'm still hoping Facebook will review some of their policies - many of which seemed to be based on bias and misinformation.

FaceBook Ads does not allow direct links to ClickBank products, so we have to direct link to a landing page, squeezepage, blogs, etc. that promotes the ClickBank products.

What most of us do before we plan to sale or resell anything - first plan how you will drive traffic to your offer. In the case of planning to drive traffic to an offer first ensure the Ad platform allows the product to to be promoted.

The link is in fact to a landing page hosted by GetResponse and the product is not Clickbank's. It's an ebook by an independent author that walks the reader through deciding on and selecting a good product to promote.

For what's it worth, the ad was accepted without a whimper by Youtube where I am happy to report it is getting results.

Since it is not a ClickBank product I wonder why FaceBook had a problem with it. Things have changed for you, so is there an issue now?

The reason Facebook will reject your ad if the link text doesn't match where you're sending people when they click the ad is simple

Huh? I don't think I'm permitted to post the link here in any case.

Frankly, I don't know exactly why it was rejected. Never got a reason and I've been busy other things and haven't pursued it. I do know they are not big fans of Clickbank and I've heard they have similar views of JVZoo and others. Without an official rejection memo I can't be sure, but their condescension toward some of these platforms is well known.

Now that I've let off some steam I will probably use some other ads that were accepted in the past or create some new ones. But, over all, I get better results with Youtube and Bing.
