The 100k challenge

I'll take your challenge Kenster. Care to mentor me, and this thread, step by step? Between Google, Yahoo and Facebook I have $275 in PPC promos to spend by Dec. 8th. I'll do all the work. Just tell me what to do. If we blow the credits, Oh well. If we show a profit, I'll split it with you, 50/50. What do you say Kenster. You game?

Great post as usual! I'm gonna take up this challenge for myself! I know this method I have been kicking around for the past 10 days, will make money, I just need to stick at it and let the other methods take care of themselves!

Come Xmas Eve, I should be milking this income stream!

Jenni - great you have a huge head start then. Every action you take, every choice you make, every thought you have related to IM for the three weeks should all be directed at furthering and perfecting your method. After day 20, if you still dont see results, then work even harder on the 21st day.

Do it 100% or dont do it at all.

great motivational post! I bounced around projects for the very first year of my IM career and got absoutely nowhere and blew loads of my hard earned cash in the process on WSO's and the latest and greatest IM fad's etc!

I now pick a project and focus on nothing but that project until completion. My next project is to build a list of 10,000 subscribers in 3 months! Cant wait to get stuck in, all distractions aside, i'll have to stay away from the WF for a while too, far too many distractions in here!

10k in 10 months may seem a lot but once you break it down, its only $30 per day. That is less than 1 free trial conversion per day. Many free ways to get at least 1 conversion per day, so stick with a method and get it done!

Hi Kenster!

I have been reading and reading and reading the past couple of weeks and took down notes of what I have been learning...

I got to admit, I'm confused! I absolutely don't know where to start with all the information I have learned so far...

I have been accepted at the following networks:
CJ, Maxbounty, AZoogle, Neverblue, Market Leverage, CPA Lead, Copeac, Google Affiliate Network, Linkshare, Pepperjam

For PPC, I've signed up with:
Adbrite, Facebook, Bidvertiser, Clicksor, Yahoo Search and Google Adsense.

Where do I start? What is the next step?

Pick an offer? Pick a Method? Then FOCUS on that one offer and one method?

Absolutely correct. The only way to really learn is to actually start implementing what you read. To start, just try free traffic or dabble with ppc at very low budget. The point is to learn how things work, what links to use, how to start a campaign, how to modify a campaign, etc.

After you get to a certain comfort level, then invest more.

The point of this thread is to encourage you and other to just get down to business and focus on one specific method and put everything you have into it. Even if you dont know anything, I guarantee if you put 100% for 3 weeks, you will be more knowledgeable than 80% in that given method.

The golden nugget is your work ethic. Dont go searching for that perfect offer because that is a very costly and discouraging feat. Just pick a good solid offer and put the gold into promoting it.

Ok, youre on the list.

For newbs, I would suggest doing cheaper or even free methods to start just to learn the ropes. To learn how the networks work, how you actually go about promoting an offer etc. At first you may not know what youre doing, and thats okay. The point is to learn the ropes and learning the ropes on cheap or free methods makes more sense than learning using ppc for example which is a jungle of big boys haha.

I honestly believe that if anybody puts in 100% on one method for 1 year straight, by the end of that year they can be earning an annualized salary of 100k. I really believe this, but ONLY if 100% effort is applied.

Hey Kenster, great post! You are absolutely correct. I spent a lot of time jumping from one "guaranteed now method" to the next because I kept getting caught up in the hype. I'm starting to settle on one area, and while I'm still unsuccessful and I'm getting quite frustrated, I'm committed to making this method work. Although admittedly, I still have my "secondary" project that I can't seem to let go of...

Good and keep this in mind. With cpa campaigns, things seem to grow exponentially. By this, i mean its harder to go from $0 - $50 per day then it is $300 - $2000. Once you start getting the hang of whatever method you are using, things will build on themselves

Hi Kenster,

Your post makes a lot of sense. People tend to jump from one method to another when they don't see results in a day or two. But it doesn't work that way. To be successful, you will have to stick to one or two methods and see them through. There is no way you're not going to see results if you persist.

So, I am launching a new passive income business shortly. The goal will be to earn $200 per month on a continuing basis by December 2010. Sounds like a small goal and yet it worthwhile for me.

The vision of my new website will be to earn a passive income and teach others how to do the same as I learn. Ultimately, I intent to use this as a supplement to retirement in about 10 to 15 years. This will become my niche -- Helping others supplement retirement through passive stacks of automatic cash.

this is a great post. I also found this with my trading a few years ago - tried so many different methods all at once that none of them really worked. And so I stopped for a while and did nothing.

I have my IM method so now I really have to start working it.

And I am back trading again - just 1 method.

Passive income is king. One of the best things you can do to build a sustainable business is to create multiple passive income streams. Yes, the goal is small but imagine the power of numbers. $200 per month is not a lot, I agree. But create 15 of these streams, that is 3k per month or 36k per year. Still doesnt seem like a lot, but this is passive income so if it goes on for three years, that is over 100k for your work...not bad.

That is definitely my main problem. I have no focus and no dedication. I am going to take your challenge. I just need to decide on a method now. I have a zillion ebooks and courses I have bought, I am going to choose one and work on it for 1-3 hours per day for at least 3 weeks.

I am having this exact problem myself right now. since the beginning of 2009 I have committed learning everything I could online and now that we are quickly approaching 2010 I can say that I have learned a ton of things but I do seem to struggle with putting a plan in place. It is tough when life gets in the way but you are a great motivator and you have given me something to reach for... thank you!!!

K, just make sure you are working 100% for those three hours. And make the 3 hours a priority so you dont get distracted. I dont want you to miss the three hours even for a single day.

You are on the list buddy! There isnt one best. Each traffic source has its own potential so its a matter of which you are most comfortable or most motivated to succeed in. Offline is good for some and other like youtube traffic or those with a tad more experience like building the long term potential that comes with organically ranking.

This is true. However, say you spend one month or 3 weeks or whatever doing one thing and it does not work at all and you are realizing you are doing something wrong. My advice, get help before you even start or once you fail at something, do not think you cannot make money online, try something else! But try that thing again, for one month straight and trying as best you can to make it work. You are not going to make it if you just give up easily and get discouraged easily. You have to keep going, and give it the old college try. Keep trying, follow a method doing every single thing you have to do to make it successful.

Yes the truth is that not everybody is going to be great at every method or traffic source, but every traffic source and method has the potential to be turned profitable. I cant think of one traffic source that cant be profitable if you get good at it.

This week's agenda: WORLD DOMINATION in its preliminary stages.

I've put several proven methods together to create this giant tank of money-making awesomeness.

I've had failed attempts in the past, some that made a little money (but nothing too significant) or others that let me learn firsthand what and what not to do.

I'm in on this challenge as well, just because it fits me right now... I'm going way past 3 weeks

I'm just about finished with week 2 and have made 2 clickbank sales on 2 separate products, $25 from cpa, and about $5 from adsense. $70 down $99,930 to go! I'm shooting for $50,000-$100,000 my first year.

This is a wonderful thread!Thanks Kenster for putting it up in the first place.
I will take the 3 weeks challenge as I'm in a situation where it's do or die type of thing. My biggest problem so far has been info overload as I have been purchasing basically every freaking CPA related WSO for the past 2 months or so. So I have built a literal collection of CPA related ebooks and I am confused which one to start with. I'll go over each ebook again and then pick one and stick with it for the next 3-4 weeks, 3 solid non stop hours each day. By then, cash should start rolling in.

Again thanks Ken for this thread and your overall valuable contribution to this forum.
(oh and please do add me to the list to get your WSO at 50% discount when it lauches!Any idea when that would be?)

I was doin pretty good with this challenge for my dating niche, but i plan on switching to making niche websites, hjopefully this can establish a more firm income

$100K by 2011, sounds good. I think I will go with free methods that I'm using now at the moment, and to be more specific, I'd say youtube. However, after that, I will move on to more mediabuys starting in January/February. Then, by April, I will be creating a CPA product, hopefully. These are my main goals.

good plan redice! im planning to create 5 niche websites that can be monetized with amazon products as well as CPA programs. I plan on building the sites with wordpress and promoting the heck out of them. Trying to use all free traffic, video marketing, social and forums, article marketing etc.

Definitely a good point. I think it's pretty hard to stay focused on one thing where there's so much hype. I know for me, going the SEO route at them moment, reading about paid traffic to CPA offers and having my head going "yep, that's where the money is - I should be doing that".

I have money in PPC and I can invest more money in other marketing methods like article writing..Well , I am still confused how to build a Landing page , I know one type of landing page that is , I write an article and put banners and text links directing to an CPA offer. is this a good way ? second Im relly confused abt How to build a Lead offer landing page..Can you plzz plzz explain me abt these things ???

Cool post man.

In fact this is kind of what I usually preach (It's in my ebook but I will just tell you here!) Put aside time everyday! I put aside 2 hours just for driving traffic (when my site is all set up then it's more 3 or 4 hours) that means :

No Facebook
No IM
Door is closed
No kissing girls (give me some slack, I'm 19!)

Instead it is just work.

Right now for the next 3 weeks I am focusing on article marketing. (Just so you know what I'm doing)

I will post my results in 3 weeks

I hope you guys do the same.
