Banned For Life From Adwords?

Are they serious? I haven't had any campaigns running for weeks, and those that I did run, only ran for a matter of hours.

I paid close attention to the content rules and made every effort to stay within thier guidelines, and still, I had my account disabled, with out even so much as a warning or, a "This is the rule your broke" message. I mean come on, even the justice system has a appeal process.

No conditional or suspension system? no way to re-qualify for approved or active status again?

What is someone on a micro-fixed-buget to do when 9 months of trial and failure suddenly get compounded with "Your banned, and we won't tell you why!!" power trips? I'm trying to earn at least a little extra money to support my family with, yet, despite having a Google Adwords Specialist help with a campaign, I still get banned. This is enough to make someone go totally off the rails.

I realize that there are dozens of other posts regarding the exact same problem, I just wanted to vent my story and get it out of my system. I can't really express just how frustrating and dis-heartening this truly is... sometimes, ya just can't win...

    Yes, that sucks.

Kind of makes all that learning you did on adwords seem useless, huh? But do not worry, it just means you have to go to other platforms and they can often end up being better.

Yeah, sorry, not sure what that means... are you refering to creating a new account? Because if I do that, I'll just get that one disabled again, won't I?

I'm really not this stupid, I'm just new the Marketing World...

There is more to life than adwords, my friend. PPV networks like mediatraffic, media buys, yahoo, msn, adbrite, etc. Many different ways to go about using paid traffic.

If you're new, adwords is the last place I would suggest to start. Just my own opinion and experience.

Also, if you're on a fixed budget, you really should educate yourself more about free traffic methods. A lot to be learned on this forum, and a lot of free traffic methods are quite good.

No, I understand that Adwords is not the only game in town, it is only the system where I got started, spent and lost money, and was getting ready to start over with new sites and new landing pages, then to get slapped in the face with an unwarranted and unfounded accusation of policy and guidline violations.

Talk about kicking someone when thier down...

    Hey, I understand completely.

But, you need to just forget about it, and get over it. Start thinking positive thoughts, get your complaining out of the way, and get going with something that will start you back on track again.

yes there is it should state to reply using this email, you can state your case there.

I do agree this approach seems unlike a good call, i am not sure why G did not run an amnesty and then a 3 strike system ?

I did read where one person was reinstated some where here so i hope it pans out for you.

I did reply to the original message, and they just said that it was still disabled...

One thing that is bugging me though, didn't google agree that my content was good after I had a "Google Specialist" review and refine one of my campaigns? I mean, that's the campaign that I ran the longest..

it would be hard for any specialist per say to to put a rubber stamp on any thing at the moment. funny times for sure

what were you promoting , do you have a lp and more so did you have campaigns running in the past that were poor ?

I'm sure that some of the landing pages I produced in the past were not the greatest, but I did my best, and I never considered trying any blackhat methods. One of the policies that was mentioned in the original email, was not to obtain email addresses in exchange for information. Well, I never even had an opt in button on my sites, let alone a email box.

at the time, around April or June, I was promoting some Organic, Homeopathic treatments, and I was very careful to mention that these were not cures, and to consult your doctor before trying anything. I used articles, and gave credit where credit needed to be given.

Also, just wondering if anyone else noticed this: in the email they sent me, it said that I could review thier content polilcy.
The problem is that url I was supplied, is invalid. I've tried it in IE, Safari, Firefox and even Chrome, and none of them are able to load the content... How ironic is that? That would get a poor quality score from me.

Move to CPV traffic. It is much cheaper and converts well.

    Hey timber,

I feel for you as I recently got banned as well. Pretty much the same deal as you because I ran some adwords campaigns on deer hunting and satellite direct for a couple of days at the most. They were losing money so I paused them. 2 weeks later I get an email to say I have some disapproved ads. I ignored it because I thought I want running them anyway.

Then last week I get a rather stern letter telling me that my account has been disabled and if I tried to create any other accounts then they will also be disabled. I thought, wtf...I tried logging in and couldnt and so I replied saying I am very surprised about what happened and I wasnt running any ads anyway, please let me know what I should do now.

And then to my surprise, I tried logging in again this monday and noticed I could use my account again. Go figure....

Perhaps try what I did timber...good luck!

when they suspend your account, your account is still open, they dont close your account. But all your ads are not running. Try submit a new ads even a non affiliate ads, you will see your ads sitting all days long without receving any impression.

I've been doing some digging, and found (I still can't post links in here yet, just remove the spaces) "adwords pi com". Is anyone familiar with this site? any advice? She claims to be able to help find what happened and advise on what I can do about it. $75 USD, or $79 CND as I'm in Canada. Worth the funds?

Hey, I found this blog post which seems like exactly what happened to you.

Google adwords drops the axe again

It's a blog by a very well known internet marketer who some consider one of the best and most helpful "gurus" out there.
