For me the best way is using subid tracking.
With subid tracking, I can use may traffic sources without placing pixel tracking for each traffic source on the conversion page.

I just need download the subid data from CPA network and match with "click data".

What is your traffic source, PPC, PPV, SEO (yuck!), email?

Each source would benefit from a different method. For PPC there is Tracking202 and Prosper202.

email tracking can be done through your email client...Infusionsoft, iContact and Getresponse all come to mind.

Prosper202 is the best, I think, that gives you a pretty awesome free version. They also have paid version but the free version works just fine, in my opinion.

With Prosper202 I would have to create a separate landing page for each campaign
or do they have a way to do that.

I 've been using bit.ly for shorting my URLs do you guys think that would be the best way to do it without buying a domain name for each campaign.

      Hey High Bids,

Prosper202 does have a way to handle that. They have a direct linking capability that will allow you to do subid tracking, get real-time tracking data, and not have to have you own domain to do it. Although Prosper202 does require a domain to load onto.

You can use Tracking202 which is a service and doesn't require a domain. You can signup and go. Tracking202 and Prosper202 are the exact same software, just one you load on your domain and the other you sign up for and use the service.

The direct linking feature is actually pretty good and should work well for you.

      Hope that helps out...

      Thanks,

      Derek

That's cool. I know there's a free version of Prosper202 and there's a free webinar we're holding where an affiliate is going to run through it and show everyone how to use it.

I really liked OptimizeMySite by Jeremy Palmer but then he sold it to someone and there went the free updates "grandfathered for life" promise.

I've heard good about AdTrackz but haven't played with it too much.

Create a very simple landing page and add google analytics - that'll tell you about the traffic. Next, you can give the cpa network a tracking pixel to track conversions. Many networks allow you to do this manually in your affiliate panel.

If you have multiple campaigns from multiple networks, consider statsjunky

I'm going to use a url shortener service, besides bit.ly which my cpa company said to not use something about limitations which one is trust worthy I heard that tinyurl or one of them redirects some of your urls to there own links.

Stats Junkie I believe is the best, tracking all your campaigns.. but theres so many different ways for diff mediums now. This is the first Ive heard about bit.ly and tiny url doing what was mentioned above (thanx highbids) so Im going to avoid them then and be more careful with my tracking methods as I should be! When Im using hootsuite we get some stats on clicks but nothing too detailed.. Ive been trying out mailchimp for my autoresponder and mail campaigns and Im really impressed with their tracking. We can even track out twitter tweets about our mail, its been integrated...thanks for the info

Call me oldschool - but I keep to the basics. Good old' subids. I don't really trust 202 software (never did, but especially now considering a huge conglomerate company bought it).

I own my own proprietary technology too that's pretty useful. Not as feature filled as others but the code is optimized to take on huge traffic (like PPV)
