Question: CPA Monitization Methods For Massive Traffic

Hey Gang,

Question: How to monetize a site that is based on a
hot buzz topic that is NOT based on a product or service,
I am thinking about using CPA but would apprieciate any
tips from someone that is doing well with cpa for "buzz traffic".

Here Is What Is Happening:

I have a website that is poised to drive thousands and thousands
of visitors starting in a few days. I have amazing Google rankings
for dozens of terms that will each drive thousands of visitors to
my sites.

Last year I used Adsense and did fairy well, I made probably about
$1000 over the course of about three months. Ads were blended very
well and placement was fantastic, however the niche simply knows and
understands adsense and they do not click.

CTR was terrible at about 1%.

Demographics: American Idol Watchers (and that is the niche
for you as well).

Any tips you can share would be appreciated.

    I experienced exactly THE SAME THING! I was using my main domain for Google trend traffic and was getting tons of visits on celebrities, but little to no clicks on adsense or CPA. American Idol is clearly celebrity related so even if people will click Adsense, i expect the payouts to be really low. Maybe try to focus on CPA's related to celebrities (Neverblue had some).

    I second Mark, any email submit with a celeb works great on entertainment type traffic. Also mobile campaigns with wallpapers of the celebs, etc.
