I am starting to do some twitter advertising, the good thing is its free, but the bad thing is, its tough to get a bite on anything. Has anyone had success on advertising with twitter. Any pointers. Thanks

Better yet, just ask your AM about it, and if it's acceptable. Also, it largely depends on how you use it. It's not just spam right off the bat.

I've used Twitter for my previous project and it was just too full of spam I found it to be a complete waste of time. You get a lot of people following you just to get followed back so that they can spam the heck out of you.

Now don't get me wrong; I'm sure there are many people who use it with success but I wouldn't use it unless already had a big empire. Then I would just use it as an expansion.

I've tossed out an ad here and there but my list doesn't convert for ads. However, twitter is a decent source of visitors to my blog which I have in my bio and I post some (not all) of my blog updates...alongside links to other interesting articles I find around the web, and a few of my own tweet tips with no link in them.

I'd say I have about a 3% CTR from it. Nothing to get excited about but it's totally free and almost painless.

As far as spam. Yeah got lots of that. But I'm holding pretty steady at about 25% of my list that follow me without being followed back. So there are real people out there.

It depends how your building your Twitter followers, if you're just auto adding people it will take thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands of followers to MAYBE even see results.

However if you have a website that promotes your twitter account and you get followers that way, then you will get real followers who are actually interested in whatever you have to say and could be effective.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I am just trying to find something that is simple to do, and not to expensive but also works. I thought twitter might be good but it seems to difficult to get converts. Any suggestions on simple, inexpensive opportunities would be greatly appreciated.
            Thanks again

Twitter is good to drive traffic to your site. A good way to build traffic to your site is by entering key words that relate to your product. Try using twollo to generate traffic to your site.

All I really want to do is find something that I can make $100-200 profit each day. I know it may sound easy but I am struggling to get things going and I thought twitter was the next big fad. Well, warriorforum has really been helpful. Hopefully I can find something that works and again is not expensive or complicated.

Twitter is awesome IF you know how to use it. It is about building TARGETED followers and interacting with humans...those that are a bit lazy just tend to shoot out their url and assume people will click through...if you take the time to build a QUALITY account, offer useful info, pique interest, send solid DM's to your followers, retweet useful posts, respond to people directly, you WILL get responses. Not only have I made thousands via new clients, my techniques have resulted in my managing 13 Twitter accounts for other businesses as well and they are all quite happy with the results they are getting.

Exactly, don't spam twitter, but just use it like a normal person, even if you are representing a business. Twitter doesn't mind businesses being on there, just like facebook. You just have to be reasonable in how you use it.

Twitter is actually a good way to get targeted followers as well, for list building. If you put out a link to your site once every few days and give plenty of other posts otherwise, nothing wrong with that. If you have people following you who are actually interested in the niche of your website and you interact with them, they'll see you are a real person and they will be more inclined to click through to your website and may join your list, buy your affiliate products on your website, etc.

My experience is that most Twitter followers will only "bite" on offers that are Twitter related. I have been reading TwitSource as well , which has a lot of valuable tips and tricks that teach you effective marketing on Twitter.

Now, I just need to take the time to implement what I have learned.

My experience with twitter is I get followers so I follow them back they promote there offers I promote mine, but haven't had much luck with it for the few times I have tweeted.
