CPA Marketing - As an Advertiser

Wondering who here uses CPA Networks as an Advertiser and how it is going for them?

I read a book on it, and it seemed like a great, but if not careful dangerous way to make a lot of money and get a huge subscriber list.

As in, you need to take out high risk merchant account because if you earn too much too quick banks can freeze your money forever, and you still have to pay the CPA Networks for the money they made you regardless of what happens to the money, if not they can sue yada yada.

Personally if it's another strong form of advertising, then I'm all for it but I wanted some info or experience from people who do it or have done it.

Jay.

What are you looking to put on the network?

Free trials are dangerous. You have to pay out a good amount of money and you have to really watch your conversions.

PPE is easy and works very well. You can pay something like .75 per email submit and you don't have to worry about anything. All the work is done for you.

You build your list extremely quickly and usually it works out to be much cheaper than PPC or articles or anything like that.

If you are looking to run a PPE campaign as an advertiser, the only thing you have to watch is the quality of your subscribers.

IN general you need deep pockets to get started. Networks need to know you can pay upon lead generation and so require up front capital. Cant say I have experience on the other side, but I have been looking to get in for a few months now.

Let me know how it goes buddy!

This is something that I have been interested in as well. Ive done a bit of research into things and basically it takes a lot more than it seems to run your own offer.

Basically if you want to do free trials. Then you will need to have a large pocket to start with and a lack of ethics. As you will be billing hundreds out of unsuspecting people. You usually will have to deal with a lot of fraudulent leads and also have to sort out the offer you are actually advertising. For example **** you are going to have to ship it. Also a strong merchant account is a must.

With offers like email submits. To be able to actually keep up with paying people you will need to do a lot of email "spamming" to all the emails that come through. Well from what I have seen anyway ( my friends have submitted emails to free iphone offers and had their emails spammed to hell ).

With free email submits you actually need a strong way of monetizing leads as well. For example a free iphone offer. The user would in reality need to complete many other offers and some free trials before they can actually get that Iphone if they ever do. Which is what advertisers have in place for email submits. And thus why they can afford to do them.

Thats what I have discovered so far. Although its a bit condensed. Its definitely a viable market. But personally I would stick to staying a publisher.

I highly disagree with them being able to freeze your money for ever. Now that we got that out of the equation if making too much money too quickly is your biggest problem I think life can be pretty good.
