Markethealth.com reoccurring billing CPA - are they FTC compliant? - should I promote or stay away?

I guess the title pretty much explains it all. Markethealth CPA offers look pretty good but but with the reoccurring billing stuff and the new FTC regulations I'm a little bit in doubt. So what is your opinion and advice? Should i promote these "free trial" offers or stay away?

  • Markethealth is one of the better networks, and free trials often convert well. If you are going to promote free trials in any network, Markethealth is one of the better networks to work with.

    • Thanks for the answer. I know they're a reputable network but I am kind of worried about the fact that those rebills on free trials are kind of shady and very hard to cancel for the customer...

  • Better yet, test the process your self and find out how easy/hard it is.

    • I would advise against that personally, at a minimum, use a throw away card.

      It is not the CPA network that matters - it is the offer that matters.

      The FTC started the ball rolling but the real action is coming from the card brands (Visa, MasterCard, etc...).

      The card brands are putting the hurt on merchants and even big, name brand companies are impacted if they have any kind of trial offer. They have new rules and only those who comply will survive.

      Right now, I am letting the dust settle and NOT promoting any offers with re-occurring billing unless they play by the new rules.

  • Phobos - I run a couple of offers from Market Health. When you set up a campaign to get your links, you can choose to direct your customers to a free trial or a complete sale. If you don't feel good about the trials, use the sale links
  • I stopped doing free trials as well... sale links works better...

    The markethealth are great tho...
