How Do You Get Traffic To Your CPA Offers?

Just wondering what methods you guys are using to get traffic to your CPA offers.

Just recently begun with CPA and the last couple of weeks I've been submitting articles mainly to EzineArticles and whilst i've made a few encouraging sales; it's rather disconcerting how quickly your articles disappear from the recently submitted list.

There's so many articles being submitted to EZA now that the articles i submit seem to last a few hours and then are dead. Seems hard work just to get around 20 views!

The articles that are getting views and clickthroughs i'm working hard to backlink in the hope that they might have a longer shelf life in the search engines.

I'm also submitting my articles to the other article directories, but views are low to zero thus far.

So i'm just wondering how you guys get consistant long term views to your offers?

I'm looking to get into Video Marketing shortly. I know PPC is an option, but i just cant afford to lose the money at this time in trying to perfect that method!

I thank you for any advice that can be offered..

Mark..

My preference of traffic sources would be as follows:

    #1 Good SEO.
#2 Social Networks - Facebook, Twitter
#3 Video Sites - Youtube, Dailymotion
    #4 Article Directories

I will go with PPC soon, when I have more money to invest.

    Hello,

I started off with free methods but they were SO boring I couldn't carry on. I can only take so much article marketing and back linking. Made moderate amounts of money but the returns on all those hours were pretty dismal.

I buy my traffic but I take your point that it's risky. For example have been working on a new niche over the course of the last week and it cost me $2000 in traffic to optimise everything before it became profitable. Worth it though as it's now bringing in a consistent $100 a day and ready to be scaled.

If I were you I would learn the very basics with free traffic and then use your day job to fund teaching yourself PPC. Will probably cost you a couple of thousand before you learn to use it effectively but it's the quickest way to make a lot of money.

Don't however think about it however unless you can afford to and are willing to lose A LOT of money at the start.

    Cheers,

    Andy

I also have cpa ninja and while it's not bad for beginners, there are much better methods for driving traffic.

Same as Mike, got my hand in everything. Never know when one thing will dry up.
Mostly ppc, buys, organic, video, offline, articles etc.

And yes, paid traffic is great but like you said, its tough unless you have a budget. People underestimate the power of non paid traffic though....still plenty opportunity with a lot less risk.

I have gotten smarter lately and diversified a little. I still do some article marketing but mainly concentrate on PPV and PPC.

Yeah, I have to agree with many of you that free traffic is great. But I didn't see any real results until I switched to paid traffic. I recommend testing a low payout offer until it is making money and then scale up from that. The great thing is that you don't have worry about loosing a lot of money because the payout is so low.

I wouldn't say there is any one soul of cpa profits. There are people that are rocking CPA offers in every traffic source imaginable. Just need to get good at what you do, no matter what traffic you are using.

I would buy PPV traffic from either Lead Impact or Media Traffic. Just make sure you do some research that your offer matches the traffic. Also check with your network and ask them what offers are converting well and what are some good traffic sources. Sometimes your best source for traffic and offers is your affiliate manager.

If they are not willing to help you out and give you some insight then go to another network. There are plenty of networks that will work with you and help you out. I think building a relationship with your network is the fastest way to profits, otherwise you will spend money testing different offers until you find a winner. I hope this points you in the right direction.

Youtube videos, article marketing, begging for link exchanges all work. Requires a LOT of work to get traffic tho.

PPC is the quickest option but it costs cash.

Bear in mind that TIME also equals MONEY!

    Here we go again :p...
YouTube (and all the other videosites) - Use a videosubmitter
    Facebook
    BlackPlanet
    Friendster
    Twitter
    Submit your to EVERY directory
    Blogcommenting (creative)
Blog-redirecting - create (auto)blogs that gets a lot of different content and then just redirect them to your main cpa-site
    Articlemarketing
    PPC
    SEO
    Digg.com (add and digg)
    Pligg
Submit your site to DMOZ, Google and other important search engines of course.
    Mediabuys
    Forums
MySpace (some people say it's dead. Maybe, but it's still possible to squeeze some traffic from that site so why not).
BlueFart-traffic - for example uploading passwordprotected .rarfiles to different torrenttrackers that are available to public. Add your site in a "read me.txt"-file.

Hmm that is all the things I could come up with right now.

    Good luck!

I have been researching media buys lately. Haven't done any yet but here is some useful info I have run across.

Instead of doing media buys through a network which creates a middle man and raises your cost, go direct. Here is a basic plan of attack (from what I have read)

Go to Yahoo or Google and use the content network. Bid high ($1/per click) so you can get a good idea of which sites are working for you.

You already know they accept advertising because of the adsense but you don't know if they will deal direct. You can also go to quantcast.com to confirm number of visitors, demographics etc. Quantcast also tells you if the website accepts advertising or not. You could use Quantcast as a stand alone tool.

Go to the webmaster of the site and ask if they accept advertising. Cut your own deal using rates from someone like buysellads.com as a guide.

A good idea is to ask for a short trial of a couple weeks to make sure your ad pulls. "I would like to offer you $xxx per month based on XXX views, but as a trial, I would offer you $xx for the first 2 weeks." You should also build in a clause that lets you out if the traffic falls off.

I haven't tried this yet. I am piecing the strategy together from what i have read on this board, WSO's and free webinars. Let me know if you try it or if there are any suggestions.

I also agree that you can not by traffic but you can attract people by providing their needs. You should update your site on daily basis and also have content regarding current affairs. This thing will prove so fruitful for you.

      1. You should have a domain, hosting, and a working website.

      2. Yes you can, you just need to know how to market effectively. (forum posting, youtube, article submissions)

      3. Hosting plan (less than $10 a month) You can choose if you want to do any adwords campaigns.

      4. Yes it is beneficial, but you just NEED to advertise to the right market. Your website cant look to "spammy"

      5. You need your own website or else affiliate managers (such as ones fro neverblue) will not accept you.

Its not hard to get accepted

You could also re-purpose your articles into :

Videos - Use Camtasia and simply read over the article then direct the viewer to your landing page or re-directed URL

Audio - Same as above and you can actually accomplish the creation of both of these at the same time by selecting the audio in Camtasia and clicking "save as" and sticking the file somehwere. Upload it to Poscasting sites

Someone mentioned video - Youtube, Viddler etc.

Cover everything and see what sticks....do more of that one :-)

I use various methods for my CPA campaigns.

Facebook, Craigslist, SEO, YouTube and a few others. The method I choose depends on the offer.

I used one media service to promote an offer and got 86,000 views for zero sales. True, honestly.

Tried again with another offer and ran a simple adwords campaign + media buys campaign for the same offer - in both cases it was a redirect to the same CPA offer page. So that's about as close as you can get to identical campaigns.

1,600 views on the media campaign brought a total income of $1.50 for an outlay of $49.60 (This campaign targeted 190 keyword phrases)

Adwords; targeting a single low price long tailed keyword at $0.05 per click brought 286 clicks over 3 weeks, total cost $14.30, resulted in 26 commissions at $1.50 or total income of $37.50 less $14.30 costs = $23.20 net.

Please don't take my figures as typical because like you I am only feeling my way in CPA and one test proves very little.

I guess what I'm trying to say is try a few test runs and keep records and learn what works for you and what doesn't.

When all's said and done the way to make a $ million is to make a $1 and repeat it one million times.

Good luck in your future efforts.

    Cheers,
    Davmac

I have used CPA once before, but it wasn't cost effective for me.

I personally use You Tube with a tube increaser, submit to the top
article directories with keyword backling to our website's, I use a
backling package (warrior member), social bookmarking, forum related website's, a good me page with ebay with links, some blogging work, posting on free add websites, although generates very little traffic & I'm now going to get involved with twitter & possibly facebook.

There are many ways to get involved with internet marketing, I guess
it's all about trial & error & what best suits your needs & own personality.

Which tube increaser do you recommend and do they make a difference?

I tried the one actually called 'Tube Increaser' and it was a complete waste of time. I followed the simple instructions in the trial version and it simply didnt work. So I scrubbed it and obviously didnt buy it. lol
