Ok guys, I just posted this elsewhere but thought it particularly relevant for here.

Sunday is one of my favoriate days of the week. Why? Because if you turn on the tv throughout most of the morning you will see more infomercials than you ever care to see.

Infomercials are insanely great ways to pick up ideas for our CPA salespages, landing pages, and jsut great ways to pick up tips and tricks for CPA marketing in general.

Most of the informercials you see have undergone crazy amounts of testing and split-testing, so normally the infomercials are very optimized sales processes. Watch these infomercials for an hour every Sunday and you will get sooo much education. Pay attention to what they are saying, how they are saying, the whole sales process from opening to closing of the commercial, the phrases they are using, the colors, the copy that pops up. Pay attention to all these details and it can really give you a great education on how to market your CPA offers. It can save you a lot of money on testing of your own!

...and thats why I love Sundays

Kenster, you're right... I am watching a channel at night that has the same ads like Cash 4 gold and competitions... I got loads of ideas from them, as I am doing survey stuff in the UK on CPA it is very useful to see how they are doing it. The best way to watch them is with a pencil in the hand and notepad on your lap, writing down the "trigger words".

      Thanks for the reminder Kenster.

Most of the time I put blinders on when these commercials come on...not anymore.

And to Flaura78, BANG ON with the "Trigger words". Big bucks have been put into every word of these ads.

I think it is so weird that you posted this today.

I turned the tv on early this morning and saw two infomercials and I wondered to myself if they have are on any of the CPA networks because they are running "free trial offers" which have always done well for me.

Plus generally after the infomercial the site would receive a huge amount of traffic.

I find myself looking at almost eveything I do these days and wonder how I could a) market it
    b) learn from it
    c) make a better version

Thanks for the post ken, it really got me thinking ( more than usual)

Yes, for better or worse, CPA seems to pervade every part of my life. Whether I am walking around the mall or at the movies or just meeting somebody new, I always seem to try and work what I learn and see into my business.

Then again, that is the essence of any marketing. Understanding people, understandign trends, and capitalizing on this understanding.
