Admission of guilt and question

I promoted a particular Maxbounty offer to my email list, even though the offer didn't list email as an approved method to promote. I know that's wrong, and I won't do it again.

Anyway, I was suprised to see that although there were a bunch of clicks, there were no leads at all. It was highly improbable, and I based on feedback from a few people, I'm certain that there should be leads. Do you think they somehow knew that it was sent via email (even though my link was cloaked?).

They have no clue if you used a redirect or tracking 202. You should be fine there. But about them not converting, that's not unusual. There's actually a LOT that goes into converting ANYTHING online.

It's not as easy as just buy ad space or just email your list and things happen for you. What you are missing, I don't know. There isn't enough information presented to make a determination.

Yes, I used Tracking 202. I realize conversions aren't just about sending traffic to an offer. However, I got feedback from my readers mentioning that they completed the offer, so I thought that was weird...

Maybe the network is scrubbing your leads?

I sent an inquiry with them, and with the advertiser. I'm glad you say it wasn't because I promoted it via email. Thanks for the reply : )

Probably why it said not to send it via emails!

Otherwise you can track that they are not paying you for them... You should ask them to put a tracking pixel on the offer pages so you can track the conversions too, then they wont be srubbing your leads again!

      Update:

The promotion in question involves a download. I finally had my girlfriend download it on her computer via my affiliate link -- still no credit!
