horrible ppc CTR%

i just wanted to post and see if this average?

its on a ppc content network, i wrote my ads very selective so i dont get waste traffic

36,666 impressions - 13 clicks = 0.04 CTR%

thoughts?

  • Looks a bit on the low side... I usually get anything from 0.8% - 3% CTR on Yahoo. I know Perry Marshall recommends that when starting out, you'll have to try to get your CTR to about 1% consistently. I think on Google it has something to do with your quality score, too (but I don't know since I don't use adwords). I would suggest that you run 2 (or more) completely different ads to find which one converts better. Then discard to worse one, and add a new ad that is a variation of the better performing of the two original adds... Rinse and repeat until you have fine tuned the ad to perform as well as possible..     • im rotating up to 6 ads all the time, but dont have enought data to determine which i should tweak

  • How relevant is your offer? Ads may be written well but possibly the offer doesnt fit with the selected keywords
