Best Way To Monetize a Trend?

Any thoughts on the best way to quickly monetize a trend whether it be from google trends, television, radio, facebook? Trends can be gone quite fast. My first thoughts are youtube and articles but neither seem to be effective because by the time you video or article is indexed, the trend is over. Any thoughts on the topic?

    You're right, using video to monetize a trend would be easier than you could have thought of.

    Especially using Youtube videos. Take Ipad as an example, I've seen someone using that particular hot trend to monetize the CPA lead offer while it was just launched not long ago.

    That particular person was just downloading the video from youtube, and then re-upload and posted a video response to the hot trend video, and he made around $500 within a few days or in just a day time I forgot...

    With that said, it's going to work, because Google OWNS Youtube and they love their own videos and they will index them fast !

    Videos are plenty fine and fast to monetize short terms trends. Last year I made videos the day of the Oscars and was seeing a sizable amount of traffic that very day and the next few.
