Inactive affiliates - I don't agree with it, but it is what it is

...and here's the article directly from Hydra. Looks like 17k published removed, with only 2k remaining to focus on big-brand clients. I didn't get a cancel notice from them, so hopefully no news is good news :

I like what they are doing as it goes to show that Hydra is in this for the long run and taking the appropriate measures in keeping a high quality network.

This network has always been one of my favorites!

I think this is a great move and should improve operating costs and improve profitability. Hopefully it doesn't kill their volume too much. It is clear though that they are taking a market position to go after premium advertisers.

This is definitely good news. Feel bad for those who got kicked out i guess. But i guess that some don't bring in quality leads or bad traffic (so to speak) had to get exiled...

FYI,,,,,,I've done very very little with Hydra...........just got off the phone and I seem to be one of the lucky few still left.

The person I spoke to informed me that they were looking at quality over volume.........who knows, I 'll have to start using them again, I stopped a few months ago.........seems they really are still alive.

Yup - it's not activity based.

As the articles stated - it is about quality not quantity.

They need to make money and volumes of crap leads/sales does not do it.

All this looks just like a big kid's star's disease and PR. So much competitors on the market and some scandals and jumping around will work like good promotion.
Did anyone hear or read how much money was on those banned accounts and how they are going to pay.

Same here, but best advice will be to start some promotion, you never know they may dump few more affiliates in future.
