My CPA Experience: A Newbie Tracking his Success (first 2 weeks and on)

I would really recommend contacting local accounting firms starting next fall and finding out if they are hiring for tax preparers. It is too late for this year. Many of them offer classes you need to take to get hired.

Finding out nobody will help you every step of the way is a good lesson learned early on. This makes it slow going at first, but well worth the learning experience.

Can't wait to see how it goes for you. Did you solve the keyword to lead tracking issue? This can be a big way to drill down to only converting keywords. Cut out the ones that don't convert well, and spend less money to get more clicks.

Well I think I did, im trying it out today.

I just created a analytics code from adwords for "Leads" and uploaded it to the landing/purchase page, as a pixel code. So, it should show leads and keywords.

If anyone has better advice, let me know. Thanks!

Yup, I created it with the google adwords analytics.

I have not %100 tested it out though, so take this with a grain of salt!

My advice to you is..

Spy on your competitors!

I've been spying my competitors for so long now. I usually see them in articlebase.

So yeah, spy on your competitors and copy and then improve their methods and use it as your own. It worked for me.

A real example 2 days ago, I was spying on my competitors. I was analyzing and gathering niches that their new articles were in and they were promoting products and cpa offers in ezinesarticles and article base.

And then I copied some of their niches and used article spinners and some article submitters to dominate the niche market.

So if they were promoting "Remember Me Movie" in March 11, 2010. I would copy their articles and spin it and resubmit it 20 times using article submitters.

I basically dominate the niche with all the keywords and different spinned articles to make money. I use that kind of style in youtube too.

The Good news is, I'm making $200 day with FREE TRAFFIC using CPA offers(I NEVER USE PPC OR PAID TRAFFIC). I make that money because I spy, copy, and dominate it with automation.
Oh yeah, I don't do clickbank or any affiliate marketing stuff. I only use CPA offers and CPAlead.

Oh yeah, you'll see a lot of guys in articlebase that belongs to Warriorforum, especially Kenster, Mike Morgan, Dropship(loot4leads guy), and bravo75. I think I found their accounts with different names in high ranking article sites.

I have a list of 20 competitors that I spy everyday. Trust me, spying is worth it! it's another alternative to google trends.

Can you give an example, lets say on a "Work at home" offer?

What would I do if I wanted to spy on someone who does good with same offer or type of offer?

Ok, using the same offer still.

Tried some techniques to "hone" in my best paying keywords.

Today was not as good day.
Results so far:

Spent $51.94 on Campaign
Income from Campaign: $105.00

Need to modify it much further before I start to scale up.

here's my thing.. if you are goign to get into CPA, then TEST..
I know you stated that as a mistake earlier, but you have to test first.

The, once you found what you want, put it on the back end of one of you optin pages (I am assuming that you are bulding a list). And only engage in pay per lead deals... this way, when they optin to your offer, they are sent to the CPA offer. When they sign up there, you get paid.

I have made around $10K in the last 3 months from doing this strategy alone...

Today's Results: (TEST just means its with a $ limit on campaign.

Offer 1: (TEST) Spent $7.90 on Adwords for a $40.00 Profit
Offer 2: (TEST) Spent $4.98 on Adwords for a $35.00 profit
Offer 3: (TEST) Spent $30.87 on Adwords for a $105.00 Profit.

Few more days of fine tuning keywords and adds, and then im going to start to scale up.

Advice to people just starting out:

Be Scientific - Test, and track your results.

A CPA campaign should be treated like a Scientific Experiement: You must test your experiement and TRACK your results. If something does not work, change it, and track the changes results.

Hey guys and girls.

Update for anyone who is following my CPA experience. For those who are just joining us, I am new to CPA, but very dedicated to doing this right, and trying to show I can succeed.

Thanks to this board, and the people for all the help along the way.

Offer 1: Spent $13.65 on Adwords for profit of $80.00
Offer 2: Spent 5.56 on Adwords for profit of $40.00
Pffer 3: Spent $41.00 on adwords for profit of $210.00

Few more days of testing, as these are JUST tests, and I will soon be ready to scale up!

Tip's for today:

If your campaign is not working, don't just trash it. Change it, tweek it until you see it turn around. All this done in test mode though.

Really work on 1 offer at first until you see a winning formula. The confidence you will get from making just 1 offer work will help you succeed!

How to get approved: Just pick up the phone and call right when you sign up. Never just sign up, wait, and leave it. Always pick up the phone, and talk to them. I have never been NOT APPROVED when I talked to someone on the phone.

Don't want to be cliche, but you have to learn your own methods.

I can help with someone in particular, but you need to put in the work time!.

Are you driving straight to the offer's landing page, or are you building your own?

I did the CPA/CPL thing for years and constantly ran afoul of Google quality score pushing up my bids, even when I drove right to the offer site.

I tried 'long' offer pages, mini sites of 5 - 10 pages with the requisite About, Contact, Terms & Conditions, and Privacy, even auto-blogs set to add new contest 2 times a week. Nothing worked. Many of these sites woudl go out the gate stinrg, but sooner or later (within 2 months max) I'd log in one say and see all my min bids at $5 or higher.

Ultimately, Google banned me from Adwords, even though I wasn't doing rebills or any sort of scammy stuff - I was doing lead gen and real products and not colon stuff or anti age, stuff like Little Giant Ladders, Upsidedown Tomatoes, etc....

I'd been in Adwords since the start, have spent over 100,000 in years I used it, so I guess they felt they actually owed me an answer when I asked why, and the answer was 'too many thing content sites'.

So I guess I'm sking

what are you doing (CPA or CPL)
and waht are you driving your clicks too

Ya it looks like this thread just got abandon but im curious where things went... Mr. forex, I traded for 3 years but took up cpa when the euro dropped out got a margin call and now im here.... Not to mention the aud/jpy kicked me when I was down...

Awesome job - looks like you are definitely on the right track.

Testing is key to success in any paid traffic source, and tracking is just as important.

I'm glad that you found out such key lessons early on - instead of struggling with them later after you had already burned money without them.
