Sub ID ...

I finally get setup with a network. Traffic is pretty good for 34 hours. I get 126 conversions. Then the faucet turns off. According to the network's tracking I have 154 conversions. I go in and figure out that the extra 28 conversions are a robot ... anyway, the affiliate manager tells me to send the valid transaction IDs and invalid transaction IDs. The only way I can do it is by matching the IP addresses off the shopping cart and the networks tracking information. I get it done and send the info. to the affiliate manager and get an email back that states the transaction IDs I sent are not what they are looking for. We figure out that I don't have a sub ID. The manager then sends a request asking if I can send a way for them to put a sub ID on my url. I'm frig'n lost ... is a sub ID a tracking platform or what? PLEASE HELP ME !!!!

What is a sub ID and how do I send them a way to put a sub ID on my url?

    • Thanks tj !! I found that video but I still don't totally understand. When the affiliate manager asks me to send over a way that they can add a sub ID to my url, what do they mean? Do they want me to give them my login and password to my domain or hosting company? Do they expect me to track it myself, thus giving me the transaction IDs? That video explains what a sub ID is but it doesn't explain how it applies to a relationship between an affiliate and an affiliate network? Do they need to send me an affiliate link address and what they want me to put for the sub IDs? Sorry for asking so many questions but .... tell'n ain't sell'n, ask'n is, right?
  • I have no idea what they mean either. I would email them and be honest that you don't know what they're asking you to do.
