Can Just Banners Be Used?

Maybe an odd question, but, can just banners be used when you are promoting CPA offers? What I mean is that I'd like to place a banner on a certain site which is part of the Black Label Ads group, have people click on the banner and be taken right to the site of the trial offer itself instead of having people visit a site of my own.

Is this allowed? And if it is, does it work well?

Oh, I'm asking this question here because I'm not part of any CPA network just yet. Just thinking ahead here.

This is perfectly fine as long as the cpa offer allows banner traffic.

The thing is if you are promoting a trial offer you will have a tougher time making conversions direct linking to the offer.

I would suggest a landing page for a trial offer because it is a higher involvement offer than let's say an email submit or short form.

Thanks John. What type of landing page? Would a review style page be what I want in this case?

MisterWrecker provided a good answer and I want to add...

Yes - in fact, almost every CPA offer will provide banner ad creatives. Except those that only allow for certain traffic types like email only campaigns. The thing with banners is that you need a lot of traffic - the best sources are CPV and media buys. The banners are actually intended for use with media buys.
