PPC, Media Buys or Facebook?

Hey Warriors,

OK I know that the CPA industry is HUGE & I know some people that are making ridiculous amount of money everyday (talking about 6 & even 7 figures PER DAY) that's right!
SO, if you are one of those CPA Millionaire Makers out there my question to you is: What is working best for you right this minute in terms of driving traffic to your CPA offers?
PPC (adwords, yahoo, msn), Media Buys, Facebook....etc??

I know there are a lot of us (including me! just got approved w/Neverblue) getting started with CPA's but with SO MANY ways of traffic out there We get overwhelmed & don't know wich way to go or where to begin advertising for the fear of loosing money that We don't have!

Alright fellow warriors, with that being said this post leaves an open thread for those big money makers out there to step out to the plate and give some guidance to those just getting started with their CPA campaigns!

Salud!

Facebook's definitely not working for me. I may be the first (and possibly last) to say this, but I hate facebook advertising. I had a campaign and my max bid was like 0.54, but instead they wanted to charge $1.72 per click. Hate facebook ads lol.

But I'm going to try 7search.com and see exactly how that takes off.
I love MSN Adcenter (Bing). They always email me to ask if I need pointers about my campaigns and they're super friendly!

I know exactly what you mean girl, Facebook advertising sucks BIG time!
Got my ads disapproved not once buy 5 times plus that their advertising platform is not that good like it is with adwords.
You have to enter language, profession, if you wanna target people on their birthdays ,etc etc WEIRD & not effective!

      Anything else out there warriors?

Yeah, thought I'd try them after all I'd heard about how much better they are and lower bids than Google. NOT! I must have missed that boat. The targeting is nice but the system is flawed. Bid suggestions are different in two places for the same ad. And they always raise the bids. They have learned well from Google about slapping people around.

Wouldn't touch facebook with a 12 foot pole, personally. Adwords is still my favorite (even for CPA). Well, second favorite after free traffic. Articles have worked really well for me as well.

Haha! yeah, I think nothing beat Adwords but are the BIG dogs still using it to promote CPA's even after that major slapped from a couple months ago??

      [just wondering!]

Not a fan of Bing. I can't get any traffic. I literally run my campaigns 24/7 with high bids and get like 3 clicks a week. Its ridiculous.

Media buying is profitable if you know what you are doing.

I've never ran anything profitable on Facebook, ever. So I'm the last person to ask about that platform.

Well, yeah I do understand that media buying can be very profitable but SO is Adwords!
I just dont know if is good to risk your money with media networks like pulse 360, etc etc.. or better to go with what its known as the best online marketing platform in the world a.k.a. PPC (Adwords).. are you all feeling me?

The CPA Millionaires are doing media buys on doubleclick, tribalfusion, contextweb, etc. etc. WAY more traffic than adwords and no quality score. Literally all the traffic money can buy.

With my Facebook testing, my ads with .05% CTR Im paying 25 to 38 cents a click, so I dropped them.

An ad I have with .15% to .3% CTR and im averaging about 10 cents a click.

So they make you pay more if you're not getting clicks. You're wasting their ad space with ads that you aren't going to put money in--since no one clicks them. Same thing with Google though, right?

I use a combination of methods of all of my CPA campaigns. It just depends which type of offer.

pack12, I am surprised you got such a love CTR with your Facebook ads, maybe some fine tuning in your targeting needed to be adjusted. Because of the nature of Facebook, in a lot of ways, you can target your ads more effectively than with AdWords.

Hint: If I find an offer that the description says that it will convert better by a certain demographic, I am all over Facebook advertising, and it's not surprising to get 20-35% CTR.

            Cheers.

Facebook works good in some territories and very bad in others. We had very good results from FB in central european and south asian countries. It never worked in US, UK, DE etc. territories.

Also it seems, that FB ad results will diminish in longer terms. Example:
First two months you receive clicks, conversion is very good. Then clicks become convert less and less and then you will receive only clicks, no conversions and FB system is asking for higher and higher bids.

After you stop campaigns for few months and start again, then is works again. This is our experience.

    They all work.

Facebook tends to have very crappy traffic quality wise so you need to be careful. Media buys require a lot of upfront capital for a testrun and PPC can be very technical.

They all include a big amount of risk but I'd say PPC such as Adwords, Yahoo and MSN is still KING in terms of quality of traffic.

I tried 7 search.... not too good, I just can't seem to get any clicks, tried 2 completely disparate campaigns and just got 1 click on each. I've emailed them to find out what sort of niches are suited to them but didn't get a reply

    7 figures a day That's chump change :p

I don't know anybody doing those figures but yes, there are a lot of people pulling big numbers.

People can make a lot of money doing any traffic source to your CPA offers. The really big guys are doing paid traffic. Some do ppc, some media, some ppv. Most do a combination. They find or optimize a good campaign and then roll out to the other traffic sources. But I just spoke to somebody the other day that was pulling huge numbers from setting up small niche blogs. Completely free traffic.

Instead of chasing one traffic source or trying to figure out what this guy or that gal is doing to pull in huge numbers, just focus on one source and go with it. Plus, if you are newer to the CPA game, you dont want to compete with the big dogs. There are stepping stones just like in any business.

So stop chasing and just pick your own direction. In the back of your mind it should give you comfort that no matter what traffic source you are using, it IS a profitable source and some people ARE doing huge numbers.

    my 1 cent...wasn't worth 2 cents
