How to Write High-Converting PPC Ads
1)Tell the customer What to Do
This may sound obvious but you will be surprised how many advertisers do not tell the online users exactly what to do. It is good to say "Get your free x-box", but it is better to say "Click to get your free x-box". The keyword is "click". Using that word alone increases CTR.
Many internet marketers` ads on the search engines get little or no traffic because their ads do not motivate the online visitor to take action NOW! Yes, that`s the word: Now
It`s pertinent for us to tell potential customers when to take action. It`s not just enough for your ad to say: 'You want to make money? Click to get a free how-to ebook'. An average person loves to procrastinate. So in order to take action now, you have to tell them to take action now (or they will miss out for life).lol
2)The Exact Factor
Which ad is more believable to you between these 2? 'Earn $2,000/month online' or 'Earn $5,235/month online' . Doesn`t it the second ad sound more believable, especially to skeptics? It gives the viewer the impression that you are being 'truthful' with your projections even though it is more in amount than the first one. The rounded figure '$2,000' sounds kind of 'fictitious', if you know what I mean.
3)Capitalization
One tactics that smart advertisers use is to capitalize the first letters of the words in the website address. Rather than use www.datingforum.com, use www.DatingForum.com . Using capitalization increases your click-through rate from experience.
4)Hanging Ad
An hanging ad is an ad that has the first line spilling or rolling over into the second line. What this does is that it forces the potential customer to read the entire ad, increasing your chance of him clicking on your link and then going to your landing page.
5)Authoritative Site Hijack
Have you ever seen 2 urls that look alike eg www.car.com and www.www-car.com ? If you don`t look well, you`d actually think they are the same. This is a good ad writing tactic because the 2nd advertiser is cashing in on the authoritative-looking site (ie the first site) of the first advertiser to make his own site look authoritative and thereby increase traffic to his site.
