UK Marketers: Application Process
I was just wondering if someone could give me some answers which are relevant to UK marketers.
I know that it is advised to call the network as soon as you make an application to a network. So my question is: where do you get this number from? Remember, I am referring to UK marketers. Is it e-mailed to you after you fill in the application form? Or, perhaps it's the same (American) number that we all need to call?
Also, if the network does call you, is it very random? What if you miss the call, could you then call them back? Again, which number?
Lastly, what exactly are the requirements for having a website, and just how good (looks, traffic) must that website be? Would it be possible to apply with a new website? How useful is a website as "proof" at this stage? I mean, I could just show a website in the health niche; this doesn't mean that I will only promote health offers, right?
And if that's accepted, does that not dilute the importance of having a website? Or, is it more that having a Website hints at other factors (how serious you are; how good you are at generating traffic, etc)?
Alternatively, if you claim you will be using PPC, but have no experience of it, would that be OK? Or do they not take too kindly to being used as the guinea pig for your PPC exploits?
I do appreciate that a lot of these answers vary network to network, so a general answer would be OK. Additionally, if someone wants to give specific answers relating to a specific (recommended) network, that would be even better.
Thanks for all your help.
P.S Any non-UK marketers who can help, feel free to give your input.
