As long as you are not violating the terms of the offer, I don't think any of the networks will have issues with offline techniques. I ran an offline flyer a little while back promoting one of PeerFly's offers and they didn't mind at all...

I have found this is normally up to your affiliate manager. In my experience if you are playing by the offer rules and not doing anything fishy and the offer is converting on the backend, it shouldnt be a problem.

Depending on your relationship with your AM, you may want to run it over with him/her first!

I started out doing a lot offline to earn some investment money. It was work but worth it!

kenster care to offer any advice on types of offers that worked well for you? I wanted to try simple zip submits, but im worried about even breaking even with a small $1-$1.25 payout...

Depends what offline methods you are pursuing. Newspaper, periodicals, flyers, radio, setting up a kiosk, etc

I think my first "online endeavor" was hand delivering flyers to apartment buildings for a clickbank survey product. Then I move on to trial CPA offers and did much better...in the biz opp vertical.

Have tested some health and teeth offers successfully as well.

I would be careful with zip because then it is blantantly obvious you are doing offline (if all the zips are the same). Of course this might be cool with advertisers, but may not, who knows.

Flyering was a lot of work and sweat but I was pulling pretty big numbers and was able to reinvest that online! Thats the whole point I was doing it.

Thanks for all the help Kenster. Ive been talking to all my different AM's and some have problems, but others gave me the go and told me as long as I ask for specific offers im good. I am also doing what you did, I have had some minor success with ppc but I just dont have enough money to go 100% with it right now, which is why im looking into offline. Thanks for all the advice i rally appreciate it!

Agreed, as long as you talk to your AM (and they may need to speak with the advertiser on a per offer basis), many networks will.

I don't see why any CPA network would be against offline marketing
    as long as it's legit.

Let's face it, networks want to know where you are getting your traffic from from a variety of reasons. They want to make sure you are complying with the promotion restrictions and want to make sure you are doing anything funny, deceptive, incentivizing when you should be, etc.

With offline traffic, they have no idea what you are doing and how you are doing it. Naturally this makes them a certain degree uncomfortable as you can be providing fake or terrible leads and the network may not realize it until after commissions are paid.

if you are doign offline, its much less they can control or monitor

ideally, if the leads are of good quality, then they won't or at least shouldnt theoretically care. But theres a lot of sketchy things that go on with CPA sometimes

Yep, at Profit-smart it tends to be an AM based deal as well. The reason of course, being that some merchants (Like zip submits) dont want that kind of traffic.

In general, I would say so long as your not promoting something like a zip-submit you should be fine.

I have to agree with Profit-Smart.
AMs have a bit of leeway, they want to get paid too, and don't want anyone messing things up for them.

Still yet to be approved at a few networks for offline adverts. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

Talk to your AM, many allow it, but you need to check with them to be sure, it's an offer by offer basis.

Ya like everyone said check with you AM.

But also, keep in mind that offline traffic to YOUR lander and then to the offer lander is typically considered web traffic. That's what most networks have told me.
