Question About MaxBounty - How Do You Do This???

Hello Warriors,
I've been browsing this section for a while and this is my first post here. I have joined maxbounty and wanted to try advertising a banner from maxbounty. But it doesn't seem possible. If you right click on any banner and try to save the image it is blocked and it won't let you save it. When you advertise with a banner network they want you to upload the banner by browsing for it on your hard drive and then you enter your affiliate link in the destination url box. But since you can't save the banners from maxbounty how do I do this?

It appears that they only want you to use their banners on a website because they give you the code for the whole thing including the "IMG SRC" for the banner.

What I did was took a screen shot of the banner I wanted and cropped it to the right size and saved as a jpeg then I had my banner to upload to the banner network. Did I just violate any terms? Or do I simply have to either use their banners on a website or create my own to use on other sites?

I don't see why I can't save the banners on MaxBounty. Am I missing something here? I can save them on another network I am with.

Thanks,
Mike

Never had a problem, right click and choose save image as. Could it be your firewall or anti-virus software?

In IE8 if you right click on one of the banners in maxbounty you get this for the image name - getimage.asp?m=2543&o=2986&i=40295.dat and when I right click and save it says cannot find the image.

I decided to try it in firefox and it works somewhat. It saves every image as getimage.asp.gif or jpeg so if you dowload a bunch of banners you need a new folder for each one so you don't overwrite the last file because it has the same name of - getimage.asp.gif

My pc works fine and every other site in the world works ok so it is weird. Right click and save image works on every other site in the world except maxbounty. Could be IE8. Anyone else have IE8 and can download maxbounty banners?

A way to get around that whole can save image when right clicking is to first... view the image, meaning right click the image in firefox and select VIEW image it will then take you to the direct location ( outside of the confinements of code which prevents the saving ) and there you can then right click and save.

Why are you trying to save the image, instead of just grabbing the code and allowing the image to be served from their servers as intended?

Have you tried simply copying the img src="xxx" from their code and putting that in a browser window? Typically this will bring up the image without all the extra crap and you can do what you want to do.
I would double check with your AM though and see how they recommend doing this. That said that is the way I do it. Then I typically redirect it to my own domain from the banner site and use the whole tracking code minus the img src="xxx" from there.

        This.

When you use a SRC tag to embed an image/hyperlink to a page what appears in quotes after src="___________" would be the link you should try. will 100% work if its an <img src=> tag

You could also use Maxbanner ads and that way you can just get the image URL (copy image location).
