My guess would be Earnings CPM, or Cost Per Thousand. That is, how much a campaign earns per 1000 impressions.

Since you pay for impressions by the M, or Thousand, this saves you time having to figure out how much you could earn when your campaign receives 1000 impressions.

This would apply to media buys and the content network, not the search network, I believe, and relates more to PPV, or PayPerView than CPC / PPC/

Then again, I could be completely wrong!

OK, I was almost completely wrong, so I guess I was almost right.

eCPM -- what exactly is that?
eCPM is a bit of industry shorthand that seems here to stay. You've seen it listed in your AdSense reports; it means, "effective cost per thousand impressions."

Inside AdSense: eCPM -- what exactly is that?
