Promoting CPA/affiliate offers through Twitter?

Hi,
Is anyone using Twitter to promote CPA offers or affiliate offers in general?

In my little experiment, I received more than 100 clicks on weight loss **** offer but no conversions.

I used Twitter Search to look for "lose weight -http" to filter out any tweets that mention an links (to weed out other marketers who may be promoting their offers).

Bit.ly to shorten the links.

VideoPerformanceNetwork for the offer.

It looks as if Twitter traffic short lived?

A smarter crowd uses twitter (for the most part) and I've noticed it's a bit harder than other methods.

I know people have automated solutions to do everything for them.

Some people are using twitter for ads, i've played around with it, from my experiences it hasn't been a great traffic source for cpa offers.. site promotion does ok though

I saw quick clicks from the bunch of tweets that I sent out using twaitter (if you haven't checked it out, do so now, it allows you to send out tweets to groups of people). No conversion probably they are little more savvy or it may depend on the offer.

No, I sent out 33 tweets in one setting. Got 108 clicks within two hours. No conversion. I picked up two offers at random, one for shakeaway weightloss thing and the other was **** Berry (buy 1 get 1 free, pay shipping and handling) offer. It was sorta of a quick experiment after seeing the pre launch videos from Epic Traffic Systems.

Think it's best for list-building and webinars.

Don't use Twitter as traffic for instant conversions, as the crowd has been hammered to death with that tactic. Instead, use it intelligently to make them opt in on a nice squeeze page, collect their email addresses and then start showing them your offers.

I used Twitter and got 1 conversion after around 30 clicks. It was just an e-mail submit, so I would have liked to have had more from that. I think that Twitter is a whole lot of trouble for nothing when it comes to CPA.

Like others have mentioned before, twitter is good to click throughs and capturing new signup if you have a compelling video/landing page.

Conversions I think are a different story. I guess if you use automation and spam (depending on who you talk to ,also known as "helping others and providing solution to their problem") a lot, may get the power of numbers to work for you.

I have tried twitter lately for a CPA offer. However, even thought I got more than 100 clicks, the offer did not convert. As other said previously in the thread, it seems to be hard.

Either the technique I am using is not the good one or it is simply more difficult to get a conversion from twitter.
