192 clicks... 0 conversions.. Is this normal?

Hello Warrior,

So this was my first official campaign (PPC) and I've had 192 clicks with no conversions. Its a very popular item (I'm sure you can guess) that I am promoting and its only an email submit. So it would seem like I should be getting at least some conversions. What do you more experienced CPAers think? Thanks in advance!

    I think that there is something very wrong with your campaign. What type of landing page are you using? Are you direct linking? If so, it can really happens, because I can remember just one campaign promoting an email submit that was profitable without a landing page, so it doesn't happen very often. You may also be targeting the wrong keywords.

    There are many possibilities, but after 190+ clicks and no conversions I would say that the problem are keywords or the landing page. Try to figure out what's wrong, give us more information (maybe a warrior can show you what's stopping you from getting at least a few conversions) and talk to your affiliate manager. However, if after doing all these things you still have a very bad performance, simply move on to the next campaign. This is what we do with email submits. One out of 5 or 6 will be profitable, so optimize as much as you can and if you don't get the expected results move on in order to avoid spending too much time and money on a loser.

    I can always count on you William! Thanks for the advice. I guess you could say that Im direct linking to there offer which is set up like a landing page. Still a little unsure if the link is even working meaning if Im getting credit when ppl are signing up. I haven't spent much money on this one, but I did just revamp my keywords so we'll see if that works.

    You have to make limits to your bad keywords, I don't know how much you spent on that. Keep in mind make limits to keyword if they don't show performance after reach your limit just pauses it and keep eye on other keywords.

      You've received some good advice already... Since it is your first campaign the advice you've received about your keywords is probably accurate.

      Let me also add in that 192 clicks isn't enough clicks to judge. Try looking at it after 1000 clicks or 10,000.

      For example if my sales page is converting at 2%. I don't always find that 2 in every 100 buy. I find that they tend to come in bunches. I might go a few hundred clicks without a sale then a bunch of sales all in a row.

      That is why you need to test larger numbers.

    Thanks Benfitts. I got rid of some keywords and added a couple as well as made a quick website with my banners all over it. I'm confident that it will work out!
