Advice on article marketing -> cpa offers

Hi Guys

I am after some advice on article marketing to CPA offers. I am just starting out and after much reading ebooks and browsing the forum have decided to go down the path of promoting CPA offers with article marketing.

This seems to be the best long term method, and I don't have much spare cash to throw into paid advertising. I am ready and rearing to go, and would like to put my best efforts into the most effective methods. I know I will fail at first, but I expect to be able to make this work.

My question is, from the article itself, what is the most effective way people have found to direct people to the offers.

I have read about redirecting domains straight from the domain provider itself direct to cpa offers, and keeping track of your domains.

I have experimented with my own landing pages, directing people to a range of closely related offers. (optional email optins here)

I have read a lot about creating blogs with wordpress, building a site as a major site, and use SEO with articles to get backlinks. (this method to me would seem to work better for clickbank products)

These to me seem to be the three main options, I would like to focus on CPA as opposed to clickbank, and direct all my effort into one or two of these methods to direct my energys best. I think I am dabbling in too mach at once at the moment, trying to see what works best for me.

Any advice or comments would be very welcome.

Cheers

Dave Mee

Edit: I just stumbled across Kens "How to be a CPA millionare" which answered a lot of my questions! Any article specific advice will still be very welcome!

What I can say here is that you must provide the hook value for the reader in order make them click. And don't provide all the information in the article. Hope this will work for you.

I am currently masking my domain directly to a CPA offer, but this will change very soon when I get payment and replace the redirect with a squeeze page to capture visitors and build my reputation as an authority figure to my readers.

I suggest you do the same.

When I'm writing for EZA or another article site I usually write the entire article in a way that "pre-sells" an offer and explains how it will benefit the reader. Then in the resource box I introduce the specific product or service and link them to my own custom landing page. On the landing page I have a "hero shot", the product name, bullet points, a quick paragraph and an opt-in form to further pre-sell the product. After that they are sent to the offer itself.

Because of the opt-in form, they have become a long-term customer and not just a one-off commission. List-building is the among the best ways to a build long-term sustainable income.

      Thanks for the reply guys.

From what you have all written it seem the best way is to write articles which get the reader interested in a product or type of product, then link to an optin/sales type page, then to the offer.

This definitely sounds like great advice!

From your experience does it work better having the squeeze page so they have to opt-in to access the offer, or an optional pop over opt-in?

      Cheers

I personally do not like pop overs... I would recommend capturing their information and then when they send the information redirect them straight away to the offer.

This way you get the best of both worlds and are able to build a loyal following.

Spy on your competition, look at what other writers in your niche are doing, how they word the resource box and what keywords they are using. See how long they have been writing in the niche and if their resource box has changed. How are they backlinking the articles?
Reverse engineer what others are doing and it will serve as a decent blueprint.

      Hi Guys

One last question, I would like to link to .mydomain.com/mylandingpage

I want to get going with the articles, not wait till my landing page is up and going.
If I use a php file to redirect direct to the offer while I build up the site, can I then use that to redirect to my landing page?

I would like to set it up so can split test landing pages, while never having to touch my lins on my articles.

Any advice on the best setup here?

      Thanks

Ezinearticles do not allow you to link to anything other then the top level domain. For example you can link to hxxp://example.com but you CAN'T link to hxxp://example.com/affiliate.

You can buy .info domains and just use a redirect on that top level .info domain and use all the affiliate links you want with EZA. You can buy them for about $1.99 and it's definitely worth it if you don't want to hassle with a landing page of your own.

I register with an aricle direcory under a name that closely resembles either a product or genre - not brand names though. Then I write articles that relate only to that genre rather than having a generic account hat has lots of unrelated articles. This will establish yu as a specialist in a particular field. I am seeing a lot more click and views since I have done this.

I use multiple accounts on any one directory, each specialising in a genre.

I have a mix of linking direct to cpa page or my own landing page. i do talk at length about what im promoting as a kind of pre-sell without pushing it too much.
