Hi, I am pretty new to this. However, I was wondering if there was anywhere I could go to learn some "basic" information with CPA, like terms, definitions, strategies, etc.? Also, I would like to state that as of right now, I am looking for free solutions, although I would be willing to invest in the future. Thanks in advance!

    Hi there,

if you have little money to spend, just buy Kenster WSO Rags2Riches. I do think that is what you need now. The fundamental.

    Best of luck,

    Edward

Hey I did a short write up about CPA a little while back. Hopefully it will help you out a little.

Cost per action (further referred to as cpa) is a method of internet marketing that is growing very rapidly. It works similarly to other affiliate networks in the sense that an advertiser places a product on the cpa website. And an affiliate promotes the product for payment. Now unlike other affiliate networks cpa networks generally do not pay on commission. For most products it is a set amount of money per product. This amount is usually based upon how much the product is worth. The advantage to cpa however is that there are certain products that offer a free trial with no money due upfront. This idea makes it much easier for a product to convert. Affiliates who promote cpa offers are often referred to as the millionaire makers because of the fact that cpa offers often have a higher ability to make a lot of money than regular affiliate products.

Another key difference between a cpa network and a regular affiliate network is the fact that you have to get accetped into the network. This is usually done after a person fills out the application and receives a phone call. The idea of a phone call can be scary to new persons applying to cpa networks however after the first 2 or 3 times it becomes very easy to handle. The only problem with this acceptance method is that it makes it almost impossible for an internet marketing newbie to get into cpa. For this reason it is suggested that you start out with other affiliate networks before trying to venture into the world of cpa.

Not too indepth..I apologize for that..but it does explain the basic idea of CPA

Thanks for the write up and links! The write up does help to explain it somewhat, and I will have to check out some of those links.

Note the above resources, but keep in mind that probably 80% of your learning or more will be derived from doing...from taking action. Thats where you will learn the most. You will see many threads on here regarding the importance of taking action and I often sound like a broken record repeating the phrase, but its the number reason people dont make it in CPA..they dont take action.

In my opinion, I would rather see you take action and fail 1000 times than to not take action, try and learn and become an expert, and only then start taking action.

Yes, I agree that the best learning method would be from taking action. Just want to see if I can get some of those basic things down first.

Also, I noticed that EdwardDennis recommended that I buy the Rags2Riches WSO, and I could probably afford it. Is that WSO considered to be a good starting point for CPA, or as a newbie, should I look elsewhere? If what Gclunis says is true, then it might be difficult for me to get into a CPA program at this time. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the shout out but the Netflix Tricks guide isnt a comprehensive guide on CPA...its more of a few methods with some other gems. So if you are new, I wouldnt get it. Either learn the basics on this forum (best source) or get another CPA guide that is a more comprehensive guide.

Would just hate to see you waste any money

If you stick around this forum for a couple weeks you'll learn A LOT. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Also, as mentioned above I would pick a well reviewed WSO and start with that. They're are typically inexpensive and PACKED with solid information. Good luck with your new CPA journey!
