Avangate - do affiliates use it?

Hi all,

I've put my new HubPages IM eBook for sale via Avangate. Do many of you guys use their affiliate scheme? As a vendor I'm very impressed with their facilities.

I have an existing software business with many products, so I'd love to move to somewhere with advanced Google Analytics support (RegNow is rubbish for this). But somewhere with a lot of affiliates might be good as well. I'm using ClickBank for my other eBook, but so far my affiliate sales have been very poor and I'm just not attracting the high quality traffic that my own articles attract.

Never heard of it to be honest.

Funny how so many affiliates go into niches when you are far better off getting a slice of a massive market with huge margins.

The software niche is nice and it's really easy to outgun the 1000's of download sites with their identical content and limited added value. My biggest product sells for $250 so I don't know why affiliates are messing around with stupid little eBooks when they could be getting a decent slice of the billion dollar software market!

Anyway if anyone else knows anything about Avangate's affiliate scheme then let us know.

I tried Avangate but never had any success. The software niche is very over-crowded. Maybe that's why I did fail with that.

  @ValentinJed - I'm guessing you're an affiliate.
  
  In my opinion and from what I've seen, a very important fact that can influence the success of one's affiliate marketing activities is choosing the right niche, according to the market stats and your experience.
  
  Why do I say this?
  Let's suppose for example you know your ways with photo editing apps - maybe you have even done some reviews. You could sketch up a reviews website/blog and promote the products you tested on that website. I believe you would have better results than, for example, promoting antivirus / utilities software (that are among the best selling niches now).
  
  So, my advice would be to do a little research on your potential competition (similar types of websites with similar products for sale etc.), see how they do the work and then see what you can additionally bring to the users that get on your website.
  
  There are many ways in which you can successfully promote products on your affiliate website.
