Do you think it's necessary to have a unique landing page when promoting an offer?

Will it help increase the conversions?

Not only that - it will help you to rank that page in the SERPS.

Not all the time, what I would suggest you to do is to watch what landing pages have been around for a while and then try to improve their design, if they have been in the game for some time it means they are working, DO NOT COPY AND PASTE THEM, understand what is their success and then make the changes to your market, example: watch for headlines, benefits and call to action, then try to fit those concepts to your market or offer.

It's my own offer instead of promoting CPA offers from networks, so I don't think re-design of popular offers/landing pages would apply to my case.
      Thanks anyway!

The only time you want to be unique and have absolute unique content is if you are going to try and rank it in the SERPS via SEO.

Quite honestly if you are going to do PPC or other means of promotion that provides 'instant' traffic copying the idea of another landing page from someone else is actually a decent idea. The reason I say this is because if it's working for someone else why reinvent the wheel.

Yes it would increase conversion rate. No doubt.
Make sure there are no links to other pages so that users will remain in your pitch page itself.

I agree with you actually, I used to work in an ad network and pages that convert are the ones that don't have many links.

It looks like for any products, a landing page would be better than just the website browsing.

I'd say it definitely depends on the offer or where you're advertising it. People will say different, but sometimes direct-linking flat-out just works better.

My offer is for electronic products, a ecommerce site that sells high-end camera. I mostly put the main page as the landing page for the publishers, so am thinking should create specific landing pages for them or not.

If it's gonna bring on more conversions, then it's worth the resource to design it and that's why i need some opinions here.

For that type of product, yeah a pre-sell LP is necessary.

As a general rule, the more targeted you can segregate your visitors, the more specific and personal you can make your lander and the more effective (higher conversion) it will be.

So, specific landers are preferred over one main page lander as a general rule!

Depends on landing page what? If you get your traffic through an article submitted to one of the major directories, then no.
