Should I use my personal Facebook account for my ad campaign?

I am wondering if I should use my personal Facebook account for running my ad campaigns? I know Facebook frowns on having multiple accounts.

I wouldn't be too concerned but I'm sure they'll be asking for financial info so the account will have to be at least moderately legit. I'm thinking it might be easiest to just run it from my personal account but then again...

Also if I end up having multiple "advertising" profiles with the same banking info (and no friends ) that might also be a red flag for them?

Any thoughts?

In reality, it matters none. None of your FB friends will ever see your advertising account, and they really don't frown on multiple accounts. If you've been banned and try to open another account under the same IP, that's what they frown on.

I have 2 accounts under different names and the same credit card. They could care less. They gave me a $2000 limit on the 2nd account the day after I opened it. LOL

I even have 2 Adwords accounts. As long as you're following their rules they don't care how many accounts you open. They only want to "blacklist" people that are cloaking and are doing fraudulent things not following their rules.

Pretty daft question, maybe. But why would they blacklist someone who is cloaking? I was under the impression all it did was hide the keywords from Publishers so your hard work isn't for nothing.

      Thanks

Either way be careful, soon they may be cracking down on multiple accounts, but at the same time i've heard of people losing there entire facebook account, just make sure the offers you promote are within there tos

I wish I had made a separate advertising account simply because I'd like to shut-down my regular Facebook account. I don't like that it's the first thing that shows up in Google under my name, and friends mistakenly think that FB is a good way to contact me, though I never check my page.

The only thing that keeps me from shutting it down is that it's connected to my ad account.

BTW, speaking of Facebook, they continue to frustrate: It seems whenever I have an approved ad and later change some of the targeting settings, it changes to disapproved. I wish they would get their act together and show some consistency.

there's a hell of lot of money to made off of Facebook, but the time is NOW in regards to getting in on the ground floor because pretty soon it'll become virtually impossible to make money with Facebook. And the answer is a big FAT NO, do not use your personal Facebook account. Play your cards right and do your research. I had a 9 to 5 and i quit it as soon as i started making a killing online. just do your research and don't get burned.

Yeah, that's definitely nothing new with their ad approval team.. LOL

        I hear everything you're sayin'.

How is your ad account helping you get ranked in the Google SERPS? I don't think it really has anything to do with the ad account. I think Facebook and LinkedIn have such high authority and backlinks that it's pretty much all they need, and Google disregards most anything else related to you.

My LinkedIn and Facebook are both at the top too when I put in my own name. LOL I wish I never opened up either of those accounts with my real name. Haha

Using your personal Facebook account may be a little risky in my opinion as it may give them a little to much information on you in general.

I believe that facebook wants your advertising account linked to your personal account, they want things to be personal.

To avoid any issues I recommend that you use your personal account as I've heard about people getting banned for having multiple accounts (for facebook, multiple accounts means spammer, so they ban all accounts).

    hope this helps,
    Mario

Why not open a Facebook Fan Page or 2 or 3? No one will see that it's connected to you anyway and each fan page could be named something entirely different

Opening up a new account is not an issue for Facebook, unless you and your IP adress have been flagged for spamming. If so then you really need to use proxy.

I do not recommend linking your personal account with your credit card. Because after that you won't be able to remove it (unless you get a new credit card linked to an account) and Facebook will always have your real identity linked to Facebook Profile.

Also I recommend using that add account as holder and manager of the pages. And beside that I also recommend having an account for each page you are administrating. So if your admin account gets banned, you don't loose all the pages.

Central account where you will administer all accounts you have, and single account linked to each page. It might be confusing with all the accounts created, but cases of accounts being banned, because Pages didn't comply to the terms of service are often, and let to many unhappy people, loosing more account with tons of friends and hugeeee pages.

Be smart. If you are worried about IP and cookies, use cookie swap for mozzila, for easier cycling trough all facebook accounts and emails. I also recommend foxy proxy addon if you are using multiple proxies.

I have multiple clients accounts and this helps me with faster browsing trough accounts.

Hope this helps. For the time being I am offering free Facebook consultations. Anyone interested can add me up on skype.
