Google Adwords->Squeeze Page->Affiliate Page?

Is this set of events still possible? In other words is it possible to buy traffic from Google and pass on to any affiliate program without building a huge site?

If not possible with Google, any ways to buy traffic recommended?

I wouldn't say that you need to build a huge site, but you should definetely build more than just a single HTML page.

Just have a contact and an about page as well as a privacy policy. It's also advised that you have some content pages.

The only thing that you need to pay really close attention to is the offer. Make sure that you don't promote rebills (unless you use opt-in pages and autoresponder series) or other offers that are against Google ToS.

Thanks William, I tried this with my hotel site www.nominaldesignhotels.com and I kept getting horrible quality scores over and over. And that site has a fair bit of content and I really do take it seriously.

    I guess I am jaded!

60% of your QS is determined by your CTR, 30% by your relevance and just 10% by the quality of your landing page.

So, first, make sure that you get a high CTR, split-test several ads and find out what works well.

In order to be considered "relevant" by Google, have the keyword that you are bidding on your ads and landing pages. It's not always necessary, but, sometimes, it's good to have specific landers (change just the content) for certain keywords.

william...is it possible to get a 8-10 qs with direct linking?
also, what does google consider a good ctr? 1% and up? 2% and up?

Hell no! I know guys will tell you that you can DL on Google, but don't even try it. Like he said, CTR is king there.

Hmm... maybe, but it's not likely to happen...

About your second question, it depends. 2% is good if you are in the last spots, but it's low if you are in the first spot. Also, it varies depending on the niche, keyword and product. So, I use to say that your CTR is good if it's higher than your competitors'!

In some ways it also depends on set up, but you can hit q 10 all day long if you direct link it up properly, it really is the page being the keys the ads and all things connecting, but yes it can be done and / have often run into the hundreds of q 10 scores for any single DL campaign.

As to the ctr being a big player in q score / i often hear that being said (and agree with this) but it is not an overall decider / again set up is important.

This screen shot i took last night shows a new campaign with no impressions or clicks and has over 100 q 10 scores straight out of the bat, this indicates that ctr alone is one key and that structure / set up also play a big role.

This is how most people used to (and still do) advertise with Google. However with Google now you need to make sure your pages are designed in a way to get a high quality score and avoid being slapped.
