Offline CPA - Direct Link vs Landing Page Presell?

Hi warriors

I'm thinking of placing a display ad in a weekly newspaper that has 30,000 distribution.

Not sure whether I want to direct link or send the visitor to a landing page
and then pre selling them. The offer will be a free trial weight loss offer and will pay out £25. The ad will cost £30 will be 4cm^2

Even if i got a 0.003125 % conversion which is 10.5 buyers I would make £262.5

Do you think I'll be able to put enough copy in the 4cm^2 ad to warrant a direct link to the offer?

Something along the lines of"

Mate, I don't know if you should use a landing page or just direct link. However, you're doing exactly what I have been considering to do here in Brazil. The internet marketing thing still haven't rocked here, so I want to start testing some simple things more locally and this idea seems to be a good start.

I can't tell you what conversion rates will be from a newspaper ad, but i will say this...Anything that requires a Credit card submit, you should have a landing page. Create a review page talking about your experience (or someone else's if you get my drift) with the product, and change your ad to read something like this:

"I lost 20 pounds and you can too! Want to know how? Read my story at www.example.com"

Again, I could be wrong, but this is the way these offers convert in the US.

I have some experience with offline marketing, and I have discover something, it is not very
important the distribution number as the type of readers they have meaning, some newspapers give you the number of people that "read" the newspaper (they multiply the distribution number by 2 because most of the people share the newspaper with someone else), it is better paid newspapers than free ones and I always send them to a squeeze page.

    Hope it helps

    Why not try both?

Get p202 and split test links.

Get a domain to forward to your P202 link.

    hey Michael Nguyen,

Thats an awesome Idea. i did that few days back. to be truly both worked fine for me. either its direct linking or landing page/review page. Actually, it depends upon nature of the offer/product. some offers does not need landing/review page as they do have awesome, attractive and superlative information even on direct link. As i did worked on Netflix, DVD Disney Movies and some Music buzz such offers converted nicely with direct linking And i tried that with skin care offers too but for skin care offer i used review pages But conversion ratio was almost same. So, as you have weight loss offers. I think you should try with review page.

    HI

Get a nice domain like Freeweightlossblahblah .org .... .org will build some trust for free trial. And redirect it to different offers randomly. and see what converts better.

    Thanks

Why don't you try split test between a direct link and a landing page for your campaign to see which ones better? In my own analysis, direct link from affiliate programs are getting good conversions, however sometimes the viewer think it's suspicious even with a URL shortener (unless you have a .INFO domain and redirect it to your affiliate link). Landing pages might give you good conversions as well and may attract the viewers, but not that much compared to direct links. It really depends you know, but split testing between them would determine which one of them performs better.
