CPATrend.com or EWA, which is better?

I know CPATrend.com has weekly payments and so does EWA. I've also heard that CPATrend.com has a lot of quality offers EWA doesn't have but EWA has vastly more offers. EWA is the larger network but CPATrend is newer and growing really fast.

Whats your pick and why? I've heard great things about both. I would like to hear from people who actually have tried both networks not just people who only used one or the other. Thanks guys.

  • Hey fairlights,

    This is an interesting question you raise. I just want to make mention of a few things before others respond.

    1) EWA is a great network, and one that has been in the industry for several years. They've really pioneered weekly payments with no minimums, which is a great feat. Also, they have thousands of offers for their affiliates, which is another incredible feat.

    2) We don't necessary pay everybody weekly right off the bat. We work out different payment terms with each of our affiliates. Each affiliate brings forward a unique situation, and we like to deal with each affiliate in the most human way possible, by analyzing their situation and working with them. If somebody has cash flow issues, but is driving good quality paid traffic, we certainly cater to them and pay weekly right away (as several people can vouch for).

    3) CPATrend does not have a ton of offers. However, the offers that we do have in our network are quality offers that convert! Now this is not taking a shot at EWA at all, as among their thousands of offers, they have a large amount of great converting offers as well. I just personally like to stick with a smaller number of offers, and offers that I'm comfortable running in my network.

    It's really nice to see others acknowledge our quick growth, and I appreciate that. It's solely because of the support of our affiliates and advertisers that this growth has been made possible, and I can say that I truly cherish working with everybody that's involved in CPATrend.

    • I agree with TJ. Sign up for both. It's been hard to say 'which is better' because they're all great networks. Split testing is extremely important.
    • My thoughts exactly. Just fill out the application for both as there is no guarantee you'll get excepted into both to begin with. If you do get excepted into both you can see what both networks have to offer and other details you may find useful.
  • yeah, just apply for all, and you will have the best of both world, I'm using EWA, they are good, not good in everything, but good enough to make me push more and more traffic to them
    I will dig out more about CPA trend to see if they have the offers I want or not

    I like how the offers are hand picked and preselected based on quality at CPATrend. Nothing I hate more than sorting through a bunch of offers that probably haven't been tested or don't perform as well as the best.

    • I don't have experience with CPATrend -- they sound good, and it could benefit you to start with a smaller operation.

      Regarding your comment, it's true that EWA has a ton of offers to choose from, but they provide email guides on what's converting (and how to promote them). I get a lot of email from CPA networks, and EWA's emails are among the few that I actually read.
  • Absolutely. ACH payments are our recommended form of payment -- it's quick for us and quick for you.
  • My vote goes with EWA. I've never actually worked with either, but EWA's reputation precedes it.

  • I've known Ryan for a long time and he runs a great operation over at EWA. EWA really cares about it's affiliates and they work hard - they sure make me work harder over here at WSM.

    I haven't worked directly with CPATrend - but I have been speaking with Phil lately and he's a good guy. I'd apply to both - there's nothing wrong with split testing offers between networks - in fact you should. And that's coming from a network owner.

  • I believe EWA is great but it is hard to get in. These guys are busy on making money, I guess.
  • I would go with CPATrend, they seem to be one of the top non-incent networks. I never heard of EWA.

      I can't say much about CPATrend, but I will say that EWA is a really solid network and they have things wrapped up quite nicely with a subsidiary in BLAM Ads.

    • Since this thread has been bumped and gotten some new activity...

      Since when is it acceptable behavior here on WF to post info that is blatantly false, spamming, flaming, thread hijacking etc. I've been seeing way too much of this lately and it's really getting to me.

      And...When are we going to do something about Troy? He's paying his publishers to spam the forum with payout screenshots and positive reviews, he has an KNOWN ISSUE with Ryan Eagle and tries to start something every chance he gets.

      This is supposed to be a forum of marketers helping marketers, and i'm quite frustrated seeing post after post that are either spamming, flaming, or hijacking in nature.

      And to the OP, the answer as other legit members have said above, is Join Both.

  • I know I said go with both, but I can tell you that CPATrend is great. Phil is a super nice guy and I honestly believe CPATrend is all about helping their affiliates.

  • Honestly - Your never going to get a clear-cut answer for questions like this, it all depends on people's priorities. I personally like EWA, however I have never tried CPATrend.

    • There are stories like this about pretty much any network, platform, payment processor, etc... However, the vast majority have a good explanations. When it comes to networks, most of the guys saying bad things about the big ones (EWA, Neverblue, Clickbooth, etc) are just people who used BH techniques and got caught.

      So don't be afraid of working with EWA.

    • There's one review there and it's a negative one. Makes you wonder. Also makes you wonder why you're posting it from a proxy? If you're going to check network reviews, affiliatepaying.com is the place to go.
    • This is one of the worst review sites I've ever seen. The majority of the networks don't even have reviews, so why would anyone buy any of that?

      I would read what the administrator actually has to say, instead of basing your decision on the stars, or one idiot's review of a bad experience he had.
  • I would go with cpatrend personally, they're smaller than ewa so you will be well taken care of.
  • Everyone is going to give you their opinion neither one is right and neither one is wrong but but because the people will be giving you different opinions you'll never get a clear answer, my advice to you is sign up for both test both and then come to your own conclusion.

      When you opened this thread with your first post, you have very positive impressions of EWA and CPATrend. I bet it is based on your own research, quietly done by looking through hundreds of threads in WF.

      There are scores of very positive feedback about EWA & CPATrend from credible sources :
      1. War Room Members or
      2. Advanced and Senior Warriors or
      3. Affiliates to both Networks

      They don't own the networks ( so they are not biased ). Let me list some of them who have credibility: Kenster, Williamrs, Jeffrey73, Cash37, Mike Morgan, Chrisba, BadBoyNick

      Don't believe me. Click their nicks. Check out the quality of their postings, the sort of advice they gave to newbies, check out their profiles and how long they have been experiencing CPA.

      IMHO, Review Sites are useful but are greatly flawed for 2 main reasons:
      - Any network can place biased positive reviews about themselves
      - Anyone who has a grudge against a network can write damaging reviews.

      Why would people have grudges against these 2 Networks:
      - their applications were rejected for some reasons
      - they were ejected out for fraud or black-hat
      - they could be competing networks hiding behind nicknames

      Don't believe me. Click their nicks and see what they have posted. See how some of them got exposed or blasted by people. Don't take them seriously and don't be easily swayed by their comments.

      You'll be missing a lot by making decisions so soon. You judge.

      I'm not in both networks, not expecting to be nor am I seeking favors from them. Just giving my fair opinion.

    • We have a bit of a rigorous approvals process. We will accept publishers overseas without a problem, but you really have to be a quality publisher to get approved. We keep our network fraud-free and work very closely with each of our publishers. Feel free to hit me up about your application though if you've pushed it through.
  • That's always an interesting question to see. I normally look for offers first and then find who's running them, and that drives my selection process.
