You better go cheap with zip submits in order to have a positive ROI, especially since there will most likely be some scrubbing going on with those offers. Try second tier ppc networks like BidVertiser. You can usually find BidVertiser coupons for about $25 by searching on Google. Not much, but it's still free advertising money.

If a zip submit pays you only $1.15 and it costs like $0.25 per decent clicks with a 1:20 conversion, along with zip scrubbings, how are people even making profits with this?

People find ways. For example, paying per impression and getting a really high CTR will make for cheaper clicks. Also, remember that there are some incentive zip submits (they usually pay less), so if you send your paid traffic to a content blocker, you might come out with a profit.

Oh, and also, some zip submits pay as much as $2.60 or possibly more (they usually require more fields to be filled).

It's not easy, that's for sure. But there are some out there doing it. They don't have a huge ROI but they scale it to where they can make decent money. You can get cheaper than $0.25 a click with 2nd tier. Also, there are several email/zip submits that payout $1.50. If you do it right, you can get your conversions to 1:10 even with the scrubbing.

It's extremely difficult to profit from submits on paid traffic.

I can get profitable promoting email/zip submits with paid traffic by using polls. However, I know that other people have different strategies (maybe involving PPV) that work as well.

It's all about knowing your numbers and having the right approach.

They're making profit because they can usually drive large amounts of traffic to their offers if they know what theyre doing

People make money, but dont waste your time. The sites go down all the time because they are basically trademark infringement and the companies behind them are 90% scam artists who pay until it doesnt work out. Too many networks get burned by these companies and while affiliates make money, its not like it was a few years ago... just be careful

If your planning on promoting zip submits with paid traffic you will need really cheap clicks to make it work.. maybe 7search of ppv traffic..

I don't recommend people spending much time on e-mail/zip submits due to the high scrub rate and low payout, however they can be good when first starting off

I wouldnt suggest you to do this, I would suggest commission of AT LEAST $8 or so for the action required. You will be paying lots of money and just getting $1.50 leads will only make you break even IF you set up a successful campaign.
