Do you know "Good" ideas for SEO

Started a knew thread since the last one seemed to do very good.

Most of you said SEO is possible with my website www.ringofpoker.com

My question now is what is the best way to drive free traffic and improve your google page rank. Also give some timelines on how soon the work should pay off.


I hope my threads continue to help me and others who have said they have.

    the pay off is always dependent on the approach, but nonetheless, it's not instant

    some quick ways you can look into:

    1. backlinks
    2. properly modifying your robots.txt
    3. proper keywords that reflect your site
    4. purchasing domain names with the right keywords
    5. spreading your search engine submissions to others, not just google. (you don't want all of your eggs in one basket)
    6. make sure the meta information for your site is relevant to your page and your users possible searches
    7. adwords is worth looking into

      Great info above. Making sure you have proper and a friendly site structure is importnat.

      Also a nice dose of PR marketing and video marketing won't hurt your cause. Super easy and super fast to do as well once you have a system set up.

      Im not in the poker niche but I would presume you may have to go one step above everybody else to rank well as I would imagine its a pretty competitive niche. Just outwork and outsmart the comp


      There's also an SEO forum here with lots of talented SEO guys and gals...they may have more niche specific advice

    May I suggest some SEO with articles.

    When articles start to go upward of 400-500 words, it helps to bold keywords and italicize/number items to help people who are in search for specific information. They are more likely to stay onsite if they find what they want.

    One trick that would help keep them on site if you were to, let's say, notice a keyword that is targeted more specifically by another article; link said keyword from first article to the second article.

    First you must have a good keyword.
    Then, if you have a site already you can now start on-page optimazation.
    If not you can start domain research.
    After that check your ranking.
    Notice any changes? Yes or no you should go to the next step.
    off-page optimasation, backilink and etc.
    Try to have a good mix of keyword this will get to the 1st page of Google.

    The white hat SEO help you to gain targeted traffic from search engine. Make sure your targeted keyword must be properly selected. because if you are doing link building for them and made any mistake then it is impossible to remove your keyword from search engine. Google track all the bounce rate which goes away from your site.
