I think that you should contact CPA networks, many of them will indicate your site to their publishers doing media buys. They can also help you find some offers to run and earn on a CPA basis instead of CPM.

Heres a tip:

Put a Medical Insurance offer on your site. You will get up to $50 per person who fills out that quote form. That will get you so much more money than selling CPM ad space, which IMO is a completely outdated model in todays web era.

Thanks for the network suggestions, I am already in some remnant ad networks, such as Tribal Fusion and 24/7 Realmedia, they fill my space but the eCPM is typically around $2.00. I know some Health sites that are getting as much as $25-$40 eCPM networks by direct selling.

Rodale (prevention.com) has picked up the site into their network. Giving me good cpm rates on 3 of my 4 ad slots, I will just adsense or experiment a little with the other slot. Now I can just focus on sticky content.

It only wise for you to sell the space if you do not have an offer that is relevant to your traffic.

Otherwise utilize the traffic yourself and you'll see some better results.

Why do you think that guy comes and buys that banner on your site? Its because they make a profit out of it. So why cant you?

All you need is to get a relevant CPA offer as you have been advised and put it up. You could surprise yourself with the results you get!
