Any CPA/CPM last resort recommendations?

Hi, long-time lurker here and I guess you could say I'm the Stereotypical Clickbank-Sucker, my email gets bombarded with 10 "reccomendations" of "quality" e-products everyday from "respectable" gurus hoping it's a method that would work for me and the only time money is sent into my paypal account are refunds from said "quality" products.

After trying various forms of IM out for 2 years and a couple thousand dollars later (a lot on minimum wage ) I'm kinda starting to think about Givin' it up, but don't wanna without giving it one last go, so I was wondering if any experienced I.M'ers had any recommendations to any guides and/or tools regarding Banner advertising and/or CPA that offers solid steps towards earning some good money that may have helped you (that's feasible for someone on $8/hour)?

Appreciate any help or even tips in advance, always liked reading here and this forum was always the beautiful redwood tree poking out through the fecal forest that is the majority of the I.M. community.

I tried primarily SEO for the longest time and even managed to get a rank 1 spot but instead of the 40/daily MS said, it's only 20 every other day .

I've been trying CPA/CPM but never got anything out of it so far, I'd thought about PPC but everyone here made PPC sound scary to people who don't have a few grand lying around. To be honest I don't like SEO, seems too unstable with being at Google's mercy. If I were to try to CPA/CPM/CPC do you know any guides or tools that may help? And I have come up with a few spins of various methods but I always find out I'm the last guy to think of it or it's just not feasable for the results it would get .

Thanks for the response by the way.

      2) Keep at the SEO. Look at the serps and see what's working and clone that. Target lots of long tails over lots of niches and lots of sites. SEO takes time. If you're not getting results then it sounds like you need to do a lot more research, both reading on blogs / forums and in the field analyzing the serps.

      3) Pick one thing and hammer the crap out of it. Learn it inside out until you are an authority on that traffic generation method. Keep on tweaking until you hit profit and then scale it as far as you can. Great success is ALWAYS preceded by repeated failures.

      4) You sound kind of depressed. Always, always try things for yourself and don't take other peoples' word for it. Implement your ideas. If they work, you might make a few bucks, and even if it is literally only a few bucks you're better off than before. If they fail, at least you got an education and you will be faster and surer when you implement your next idea. Move at a fast pace. ACT.
      1) sounds like a good plan. Would free email submits come from a place like CPALead? all I saw from them was content unlockers.

      2) Can't hurt.

      3) Thanks I kinda needed to hear this.

      4) Yeah, going through a few rough months. Thanks for all the help.
