You can use a self-hosted autoresponder like Interspire. But for maximum deliverability you should use Aweber, GetResponse or iContact. You just have to create an account with them and contact their support team to upload your subscribers. They will ask you to explain (prove) how you got your leads (it's necessary to avoid spammers from using their services) and then will help you upload all your subscribers to your account.

Most reputable companies are going to require double opt-in for the list when it is imported.

Companies that are able to provide high rates of deliverability are able to do so because of their stance against purchased lists, harvested lists, etc...

Any company that will allow thousands of new subscribers to be imported without requiring confirmation is going to open itself up to a lot of complaints and potential blacklisting which will destroy the deliverability rating for that company (and, by extension, its clients).

If they are OPTED IN, you can contact aweber. But they will want proof that you have permission to send them. Otherwise, search the net for bulletproof marketing or autoresponder. Just make sure you havent harvested or bought that list. Nobody likes spam!

Any questions just let me know

The list was not bought, what do you mean by harvested?

We sell a product and required an email address. When they submit their email address, they have to click "I have read *insert company* privacy policy. In the privacy policy, we state that "We may use information collected via correspondence to send you marketing communications which could include account updates, information about website changes, new products and services, and new affiliate sponsor offers."

Will these then be considered opt ins?
