Yep, you can do that.

Best thing to do though is approach a merchant directly, and tell him you can send more leads. All you then need is to build a simple database with dedicated forms for each affiliate. This can be coded for a few hundred bucks, as lead delivery should be via email. Then you count up all the leads sent by the affiliate, take your cut on top and voila.

Just make sure you ARE the network and dont go THRU an already existing network as you add an extra layer which cuts into your margins.

When I was new I had a whole system set up that did exactly that. It was very basic and revolved around sub-ids but I had an army of sub affiliates.

Made decent money but not worth the work and as I said, I was new and working very manually at that point..nothing was streamlined.

Cool concept though!

Questions like this always need to go through your AM, this is vary offer by offer, in most cases it will be ok, but you need to confirm it first! The last thing you need is to go through a bunch of work to find out it's not allowed and then you don't get paid!

I definitely agree about checking with my AM first. However I think I may take Nick's advice and try going directly to the merchant rather than through a Network. This maybe a foolish,overambitious plan but I figure if nothing else and I don't gain a dime, I'm sure I'll gain some knowledge in the process of this!

I totally hear what you're saying. I kind of had the feeling it wasn't going to be so easy. For that reason I did allot of thinking during the weekend and decided to strategize a plan of action with what is currently accessible to me at this time. This maybe cutting into my profit margin but (at this time) I rather have 10% of something than 100% of nothing .

Kenster You mentioned earlier that you had a similar set up. The reason I'm so interested in recruiting sub affiliates is because I totally suck at selling! Lucky for me I'm still a smart cookie and I was taught to hire people who are better than I in area's that I lack in.

As a trial run I hired a sales person to canvas a high foot traffic area of the city and some residential areas. Today he made 2 sales which is roughly $220 as per network payout. I am over the moon excited but now I'm stump as to how I can expand with more sales people. The network I work with does not provide sub-id's and I don't know what tracking system can work with the kind of operation I'm trying to run.

(sigh) Trying to take over the world is exhaustion! lol

You're interested in brokering offers, right? If so, set up a network with Has Offers and start contacting international (India, South America, etc) website owners that have a decent potential. You will probably have to deal with a lot of fraud in the beginning, until you find out who are the good guys, but it can make you some good $$$.

Yes my idea was brokering off offers to sub affiliates, except focus locally with offline marketing. Not that I am eliminating the idea of using sub affiliates internationally but like you said the risk factor is a little higher! Thanks for the great advice I will be looking into "Has offer" today.
