PPC, what woul be considered a good ROI

Hi all,

would just like to know what would be considered a good campaign in PPC. I understand that with paying for traffic the profit margins would be smaller, compared to free traffic.

But I would just like to know what sort of profit margin you would be working to. I know that that a little bit or profits over a large number can also be much more lucrative then more profits over less volume.

I hope I ave explained myself correctly

Thanks

Steve

It depends on your offers and traffic sources. I usually work with anything above 40%, but there are campaigns with a ROI below 20% and others above 400%, so it's up to you to decide on what margins you want to work with.

William, would the higher % campaigns be for higher paying offers or it does not matter what the offer pays out. It depends on traffic costs.

      thanks for your reply

Not necessarily, it depends on several factors. Sometimes you can promote lead gen offers paying $3 per lead for some non-english speaking countries, get cheap targeted traffic and reach a ROI as high as 300%. When promoting high-ticket offers you can also have more costs and a lower conversion rate, so there is a balance and the best payout is not always responsible for the best ROI.
