Struggling with Dating CPA offers...need help please!

Hello fellow warriors,

I started my CPA journey a few months ago and made some major inroads thats to the valuable information and help on this forum.

I focused on dating CPA offers and focused on promoting them via facebook PPC as my platform.

I would say overall I am at a loss and a major loss...

I did have a profit for a while for a specific niche dating offer, but that offer got disabled.

Now, I have tried so many times to promote offers like Mate1, Cupid, Match, etc.... The mainstream general dating offers. I even tried Real Mature Singles, matchmaker, etc... for an older more mature crowd.

I just haven't had a breakthrough as of yet.

I am pretty good at getting a decent CTR (around 0.1%+) and a decent CPC but my problem is I am not getting the conversions.

Most of the above campaigns covert at a very low rate, I mean 1 in 20, 1 in 30, even 1 in 50. It is a serious loss.

I thought my targeting was good, as I target men who are interested in dating, women, relationships, etc.... also I have done more specific targeting with images relevant to the group. But I am yet to get any conversions (apart from that one time I did very well with a niche dating offer).

I am wondering if others are having the same problem. Could the problem me that the mainstream general dating CPA market is just becoming way too saturated! So many people are promoting them on facebook it is crazy!

I am getting desperate here.

I would appreciate your feedback.

    I totally understand your frustration since it's an over saturated market. Very tough to get converts sometimes. My own experience has been that the adult, casual niche (ex. Adult Friend Finder) does a little better sometimes than Mate1, etc. You have to be willing to go down a more explicit road and appeal to a different targeted market, but it can be easier in some cases.

      Thanks for that. I haven't tried the adult/casual niche. What platform do you advertise on? Do you use a landing page?

    Saturated market and advertiser scrub a lot. You can use a landing page and add few dating offers, person might sign up for couple of them so this way you can make more with landing pages.

    It just sounds like you need to target even more, especially with the facebook system. What I would do is to start targeting larger groups and building a very specific page. Say like make a lander with NY Yankee fans, where have like 6 NY Yankee woman fans on the the page. Micro-targeting is the only way to make dating ads work on FB anymore it seems. Hope it helps.

      Dating on Facebook is indeed pretty saturated, but you can still make a good amount of money, you just have to be creative and highly targeted. CTR is great, but as you are seeing, ROI and CR are really the most important metrics.

      For example, I was running a campaign for a Facebook dating app install. I had a number of ads giving me anywhere from .2-.35 CTR after 20,000+ impressions. I had a good CPC, and a ton of clicks. Problem was, the image apparently was not attracting the right traffic as I would get one conversion out of 70-80 clicks. No way to profit there. On the other hand I had one stupid ad that had a CTR of ~.06 that was getting ~30% ROI.

      Personally, I've only had real success on FB with dating targeting international offers. CPC and competition are very high in the US.

    HIGHLY target your ads. Under 100k. Under 40k if you can afford it.

    Bid high.

    Make a "vanilla" offer niche with a niche LP. Im not going to explain how to do this, figure it out.

    Track everything. Then break everything down into smaller campaigns to see where you conversions are exactly coming from, then make THEM a more specific LP and bid higher...
