You're going to have a hard time finding these now-a-days...if this was posted about 3-4 months ago i could list 4-5 different offers you could run but right now there are some transitions going on in the credit space, Experian buying out some other credit companies is the main reason. Also, many of the advertisers that allowed this type of traffic ran into many issues with their re-bill rates...Even if you find an offer that does accept this type of traffic, my guess is you wouldn't be paid till the advertisers pays the network...

Something I'm seeing in this space is that publishers are now using content locking scripts to promote credit offers on CL. Don't ask me why but if this is done correctly, it actually backs out OK for the advertiser.

Yeah, in the credit space I would probably drive classified traffic to a good solid lander/site. From there you can try and get the opt in or do a harder push for the click through to the offer.

Another thing that hasn't been mentioned yet in response to the OP... The FTC is really cracking down and strictly monitoring credit report / credit monitoring offers being promoted on the internet, especially on classified ad sites such as CL; largely due to a high amount of fraud and misleading ad copies.
Advertisers aside, even most networks these days don't want their publishers engaging this type of traffic because they can lose hours of time and heaps of money when complaints come through.
Bottom line, chances are that if you are trying to promote such an offer to such an audience, what you're doing likely wouldn't be viewed as white hat- more often than not.

Yes, unless there are offers out there i don't know about but just based off of whats going on with this vertical right now i think you're going to have a very hard time finding a credit offer that accepts classified traffic.

Email marketing has always been a successful method for promoting credit report offers...

Classified traffic in general has been tough for a few years, mostly because its so easy and free that many people do it wrong and drive really crappy leads.

BUT, one thing I have done is drive craigslist traffic to a site and sell from there, either through email marketing, web, etc

Classified is also great for SEO if you know how to use it The important part then becomes the increase in natural traffic you drive.

Briliant ideas, i will try that.
so make an ads on craiglist and then drive traffic to Landing pages to collect leads then send them to offer.

The FTC is really cracking down hard on how Credit Report offers are being promoted in general, as many people were pushing conversion through out and out fraud in the classifieds space.

As far as I know there is not one CR offer that will accept CL traffic anymore.

I may seem very pro craigslist but I've never used it for any type of IM.

I find it very interesting when networks ban craigslist. I understand the pressure from advertisers and the possible headaches. I really don't see how aside from scams the traffic is any worse than facebook, twitter, etc.

I mean people break terms of service daily with w-hat marketing. Creating multiple you tube, facebook, twitter, etc accounts has to violate some policy written in the mumbo jumbo. Articles are written daily by people pretending to be experts in a particular field and signing it with a fake name. I mean would you use your real name telling people you cured your bad breath, bo, bacterial vaginosis?

Off topic somewhat but I just don't really understand why the quality is so poor.

@Kenster: I have a question about how you mentioned bringing craigslist traffic to your site and sell from their or through email. If say you're promoting a trial offer (non credit) don't you run the risk of a person canceling and then being asked by the company where they heard about said product? they respond clist and this would be easily traced back to you.

Yep, and there are countless other creative and very deceptive ways people were promoting through craigslist, and that's why the traffic source in general got tainted.

It is possible, but heres the thing. If you are sending good leads that have the same average lifetime value as other traditional traffic sources, it doesn't really matter where the traffic came from. The reason craigslist got banned as well as other classified sites is that people were doing the deceptive stuff mentioned about and therefore the offer wasn't converting on the backend and merchants were losing money.

If you are promoting non-deceptively, sure there is a chance that they can trace it back to craigslist, there is a chance that they can ban your account, but if the merchant is making money on the backend, they really don't have a incentive to stop you. If you do sketchy craigslist stuff, I can guarantee the lead quality will be awful and it will bite you in the butt.

I have driven a buttload of traffic from craigslist (not necessarily straight to an offer) and I have been questioned but never had a single penny of commissions forfeited. Sure they have the right to do it but it doesn't always make sense for them to!

makes sense. I have no interest in scamming people or posting fake stuff but I also don't ignore a site that has the traffic of craigslist.

Nowadays, if you try to push CL traffic directly to an cpa offer, most of time you'll get in trouble. I prefer, like Kenster said, to drive CL traffic to a landing/squeeze page first, then the magic begins

You can filter traffic to make it legit. Build a list or send them to a legit site from CL.

    That works.

Yep, CL is massive and free...which is why many desperate marketers go there in droves looking to deceive people for some extra bucks. But, if used correctly its a great massive (and free) traffic source.

Glad you play between the posts buddy.

Exactly. This is one of the best ways to use classified sites...build a list and then a relationship and then make some sales!

CL and CR is not dead yet but rules have changed. Do not got blackhat with that. Use ads that really express the advertisers offers and link your ad with a landing page or a squeeze page.

try sending the traffic to a squeeze page offering a free report on fixing credit and just promote offers that way.

Craigslist is pretty much dead. It can be done, but ethical marketing is always better in the long run.

If anyone is advertising that they have CL "friendly" stuff, they are lying. It means they are brokering it and you'll not get paid.

More and more companies are suing spammers, including Twitter spammers, CL spammers. The FTC is going after more people using these techniques. They are not just BL, but in many cases illegal.

Focus on building a business, not scams.

EXACTLY! NO credit report offers accept CL traffic. I smell brokering, hence the "must send bulk" lol...

Save yourself a headache and look for another way to promote them the right way.
