Ok guys, I'm hoping someone can help with some advice here.

I have been promoting CPA offers using SEO for a while now with limited success - although I see where I have been going wrong now - time is a good teacher.

So I am delving into PPC for the first time. I would like to promote a couple of comparable products on a review page, but there are several restrictions that come with promoting, which include not using trademark keywords in either the the PPC marketing or in the landing page URL (was hoping to get SEO juice here also).

Question 1 PPC - The offer is on Neverblue and Peerfly, though the latter's restrictions do not state anything about keywords in URL. In the Peerfly restrictions, they actually suggest using '-' in front of keywords as "best practice". Can anyone tell me if this is any use and how this might work?

Question 2 SEO - I would like to use the trademark name/s in the URL for maximum SEO effect - is there a way of promoting the offer on this page without the campaign owner knowing? EG will cloaking the link, or redirecting from another page get around this problem?

I hope that makes sense.

Thanks in advance.

Raj

The problem with using trademarked terms is legal issue and I personally would not want that on my record. Try being creative and testing different domains and keywords

    Hi Raj,

yes put a - infront of keywords with adwords will make it a negative keyword and wont show.

No there isn't but you could use things related or use their competitions anmes in the url and optimise for them.

The first thing I would ask you is why do you want to try PPC if you can make SEO work? No offense you have a far better chance of making money

      Thanks Samuel

SEO vs Paid - I want to use paid to see if the offer actually converts using my landing page, if it does then it is only a matter sending traffic to it via SEO to make sales. Also, if I have a significantly positive ROI I don't see using paid traffic as a problem as I will be making money anyway.

By the way, I still do not understand the '-' prefix for keywords from Peerfly. Surely adding a '-' would mean it is a different keyword to the one I am targeting? Also, would that not still be falling foul of Neverblue T&Cs for this offer when they say any variations of the trademarked keywords?

Anyway, I have decided to be safe rather than sorry and use a non trademark name url and target related keywords initially.

      Thanks for your help anyway!

      Raj
