Prosper202 tracking vs. LeadImpact views

I'm sure (unfortunately) I'm not the only one having this problem..so I hope this will shed some light for a few other people on the forum

I'm using Prosper202 (self-hosted) to track conversions of a couple of LeadImpact PPV/CPV campaigns...

BUT Prosper only seems to track about 50% of the impressions that LeadImpact is showing...

The obvious issue is that it can potentially be making void any ROI/statistical results..

Any idea why this may be happening?

    Impressions aren't clicks. Are you using a landing page?

    Like pccc said above, we will need to know if you are using a landing page or direct linking. Are you using shared hosting?

      PPCC, ChrisBa,

      I'm using a landing page on a shared hosting account (hostgator)...do you reckon it's the hostgator account that cannot keep the pace with all the "traffic"?

      We're talking less than 1k impressions a day..

    Hi,

    I think quite a few people have had this issue where
    LI has shown more views than what the tracking software stated.

    In my own case too, it has happened many times that
    LI stats showed $10 worth of views, whereas my tracker
    showed only $8 worth of views.

    And I'm not on shared hosting either.

    But still, 50% difference is too big and I'm not sure
    what could have been the reason for that.

        Any method is a waste of money if you don't approach it properly.

        CPV Lab is much more powerful and much better suited for running PPV campaigns. If you already have CPV Lab, there's no point in messing with Prosper, really.

        As for hosting, Beyond is awesome (and a bit pricier.) I hear good things being said about Bluehost, but I have no personal experience with them.

        If you're paying less than $10/month, I'm gonna guess you're on shared hosting.

    Pop Traffic is a HUGE Money Maker.

    It's just another form of traffic, there is an art to making it work.

    And your problem is your using a Shared Hosting plan
    and trying run PPV traffic..

    Doesn't matter if it's only 1k pops per day.. Get off that plan ASAP

    And get some real servers.

    We are talking about redirect, and load times here.. That shared aint
    cutting it man.. People could be closing out your window before it
    even loads up.

    A Basic VPS is only like $30/month. This is Your Business.
    Make that investment.

    What!? I know so many affiliates that are doing over 5 figures a month with PPV traffic definitely well worth it.

    Get a good VPS server and get good tracking like CPV Lab instead of 202. 202 doesn't do so hot with PPV traffic.

      Agree with Greedy. I used prosper202 and shared hosting initially and it was pants. Could not handle the traffic and was a pain to track.

      If you're using large image files, it's likely people are closing the pop-up even before it shows.

      Also, prosper202 is not designed for PPV. It's good for PPC and direct linking, but it's a bit of a headache to use when you want to track multiple landing pages and offers.

      I went with knownhost for my VPS and they are awesome (and cheapish). And while PPV Lab is a little pricey, there is nothing like it and it is so awesome you'll sh*t yourself!
