using personal website to get accepted into network?

I was reading a few articles on here about easily getting into any network. I know a website is required, but is that website the one you will be doing CPA offers from? I was thinking of doing a very simple vcard template with my name, some websites I designed, my services and contact info. If you don't know what I'm talking about, you can see many examples on themeforest.

Do networks like to see these types of sites when applying, even if they really aren't THAT informative? There is no blog or anything on the site, just basics on who I am and what I do.

Although I can't speak on behalf of all networks, what carries more value is explaining your campaign strategies. The website can be an important element when applying, but it's secondary to clearly defining how you're driving traffic and promoting the offers.

You're not always going to use the site you apply with to run campaigns so that's understandable. But if you let your URL speak on behalf of your value as an affiliate, then it better be a brilliant website

    Good luck!

When I applied to the CPA networks I work with, and got accepted, my personal website still had the wordpress default theme with the default text etc. There was nothing of value on the site.

What I did was, after I applied and got denied (which I was expecting, anyway) I wrote a very long email to the approval manager, explaining explicitly all my promotion methods. This is the most important step. It worked for me everything, except with maxounty because I didn't bother following up on it.

    I hope this helps you.

BTW, you may start with PeerFly and, if you need content locking, leadbolt.

    Good Luck.

Thanks for the help. I actually am applying for PeerFly as I've been hearing people say how easy it is to get in. That would be great, because I don't need to buy any fancy vcard template or even pay for a domain name!

The best way to get accepted from my point of view is when you call them. Shows them that you have initiative.

You should be ok with your personal site, it doesn't need to be the site that you will use to promote the offers.

Just make sure that you call them after submitting your application and explain how you intend to drive traffic to their offers.

Depends on the network but if you can show me that you are able to run our offers and you have a little bit of knowledge in IM, you're most likely to become approved. A phone call is always a plus, since it gives us some reassurance

I used to use my personal site to apply to CPA networks when I was new, and I was never denied. Basically they just want to see that you've got a basic ability to create websites.

Some networks might mind, others won't. The biggest thing Ishtar be up front on how you plan on driving traffic to offers

The most important point that you need to understand is that ...

Persuade your affiliate manager that you are very serious and you are going to send them high quality traffic to their advertisers .

      Exactly!

And when you say it, mean it. After all, you gain a lot when you bring quality traffic. Before you pick up your phone to call, make sure they allow it. With PeerFly, they stated clearly that they don't handle application issues over the phone. You don't want to break any protocols.
