CPA -How To Start At CPA ?

Hey that's a great achievement. You should not give up at this point. Do some more testing on facebook (changing demographics, offer, etc) and once you find a winning Campaign scale it and make crazy money!

I recently found my first successful facebook campaign after failing with Campinas loosing around $300 and the successful campaign recovered my loss and all the money I lost gave me a very good experience that worth more than that money.

So, don't give up! You are on the right track!

I too have used Facebook and it sucks sometimes to lose more than what you make, but in the end it can be worth it because that gives you the opportunity to target the ads better! Thing is with facebook is that you have to create a crapload of ad variations in order to know where that converting traffic is coming from.

With a lot of the individuals that I help I always recommend using PPV networks like TrafficVance and LeadImpact. Of course there are others out there that can convert but you just have to do a bit of research.

And another thing, I'd recommend that you collect your own leads then market the CPA offers to those on your email list. That gives you complete control of who you're marketing to and to some extent, even how much you'll potentially make! The money is in the list, but only if that list is responsive and you've built a relationship with those on your list already.

Thanks for answering. But when i am promoting e-mail submits like free ipads and victoria's secret lingerie, how can I couple them with a list. I have lists in weight loss and sports betting. But what niche do I start in to cater to such offers?

You can do a coupons type list...you really don't need such "niche" lists with cpa offers, just deliverability, then you just drop the offers, and walla. But since you're promoting something broad rather than a niche niche ebook or something, you're list can be broad as well.

I probably think that you are on the right track. So don't stop your facebook ad.

What is missing is all about analyzing your existing data, testing and optimization of your ads and campaigns.

And, if you are interested with free traffic sources, you can use SEO, article marketing, forum marketing, social media and lots of other free traffic sources.

Assuming the above campaign was before any optimization, you can probably work the heck out of it to get it to be a winner.

But back to your question...free would be things like SEO, articles, videos, PR, offline (sort of), bum marketing like forums etc

Honestly, that's a start, you've found that you can make leads, now you just need to optimize so you increase your leads and bring down yours costs

First i must congratulate you for your effort to start CPA. I must say that CPA is only and very good only when you have large amount of traffic flowing to your site. There are so many ways you can make a lot of money using CPA network. I would suggest you enough try to establish a site that would pull in enough traffics then you introduce CPA leads on it or the do it the faster and smartest ways. Using FB likes.

In fact, I don't think you did very bad on FB. On the contrary, if it was your first attempt the number are decent.

The problem is that you will hardly find a profitable campaign with paid advertising before any optimization. You need to optimize your ads, increase the CTR and decrease the CPC (if the CTR is really a killer one you can consider switching to CPM as well). Also, you can rotate offers, split-test demographics, etc...

It's hard to say without knowing anything about the campaign, but, based on the numbers, there is a good chance that your campaign could be optimized and become profitable.

Definitely think you should try free methods before jumping into paid, especially if you are completely new. It is a good thing though that you know you can make leads on FB. Dabbling in free methods will teach you about optimizing and shifting things around to reach their maximum ROI

Usually people just learning how to start don't make money so congrats.

I think that if you were just to tweek your Facebook ad you can easily make a profit.
How many ads are you running or is it just one?

For free methods try video marketing, like YouTube and Metacafe. The tend to work with CPA offers, all you need to do is download a YouTube video that is related to your niche and edit the video to include a link via picture or link on the video to you landing page.

First off congratulations with your FB ad campaign! Like some of the other Warriors have said, you need to keep testing and optimizing your campaign until its in the black.

You may also wish to consider creating a FB fan page as I'm doing now, as one of the things I've learned while researching social media marketing is that FB is "its own web" so to speak, where the user population is mostly there to interact with friends and family as opposed to actively looking for products and services as they are elsewhere online.

That being the case, the fan page gives you the opportunity to create a loyal list of subscribers where informative posts pertaining to your topic need to be delivered and you're able to add posts pointing to your CPA offers; but not so much that they start dropping like flies due to overselling. i.e. I ended up unfriending a junior high school acquaintance for this reason as all she did was post about her network marketing opportunity from her personal account, no fan page dedicated to her business at all where she could cultivate the relationship with useful content. This got old really fast, so I understand it from the point of view of a user.

Anyhow, that's my two cents on FB marketing based on current experience and I hope that it is of help to you. Again, congrats as that's how it begins!

CPA when using paid traffic can be tricky at first, some people end up losing thousands. I wouldn't worry too much, thats what split testing is for! You're definitely on the right track.

I have seen many spend 100's with no return, you are on the right track, let me know if you need any help with free sources of traffic. Paid can be a difficult road when starting out, I always suggest to start with the free route to learn the ropes.

You are on the right track! This is excellent! This means that you ad was working because it made some money. Not as much as you probably were anticipating though. This means just mess around with some keywords.

I know you probably don't want to lose more money but in the grand scheme of things you have to spend money to gain money.
