Discussion and Tips on Getting Accepted into CPA Networks

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to start a discussion and post some of the things that I've come to learn about getting accepted into CPA networks.

Now there is no GUARANTEED way to get accepted, because applications are reviewed by REAL HUMANS and HUMANS can decide not to accept you if "they don't feel like to"

But that doesn't mean - that you can't play within the system and get yourself accepted.

TOP 3 THINGS that you must do to NOT TO SET OFF THE AUTOMATIC RED FLAGS in MOST APPLICATION SYSTEMS and get a human to actually review your application

1. Make sure you apply from an IP that matches your country (I used outsourcers in canada and romania...got auto-rejected)
2. Make sure the contact info on your website matches the contact info you provided on the application (not too major, but sets off a red flag)
3. Make sure your website WHOIS info (if not private) matches your contact info or name - so they can verify that the site you give is actually your site

---------------------------------------------------------------

Once you make sure you got those things in order, take a look at this checklist and make sure your application does not go against these guidelines

1. Never check off "incentives"
2. Always check off PPC as your advertising method (they love this)
3. Be sure your website is a top level domain (this gives your credibility)
4. If there is a "How did you hear about us?" - Write: My friend told me, but he doesn't work with you.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
If you follow these guidelines and use some common sense, you should be able to get into most networks that you apply for.

Some networks purposely wait for SERIOUS applicants to call them and even encourage them to call in their followup emails. Generally, some networks ask you to email them and or go through their automated verification system. While it is suggested you do go through with their protocols, nothing beats a 5 minute phone call after 24 hours of applying (as long as its a business day - during business hours)

NOTE: Usually, when your applications gets denied, you get an automated email saying you were denied, but they don't give you the exact reason. If you call their center and talk to an affiliate manager - they will usually tell you the reason.

CALL: When you talk to the affiliate manager, try to appear as if you know what you are talking about. They might try to through you off by asking you - how will you drive traffic - ALWAYS answer PPC to CPA offers or PPC to landing pages that will be led to CPA offers.

^THEY LOVE THAT ANSWER AND WOULD BE DUMB NOT TO LET YOU IN^

Hope that helped - feel free to chime in and create a very useful thread full of advise and experience with particular networks

  • Another important thing is too just be honest. When i first started i told most networks i signed up with that i did not have a web site yet and they all for the most part accepted me. I think they just want to see that you are capable and have the resources available to promote products.

    • Yeah, I think the websites just show them you have a little bit of internet know-how. I just basically told them I was going to flood multiple niches with loads of PPC campaigns.

  • Thanks, SFC I'll apply these principles in future applications.

    Kind Regards

    George
  • I'll definitely give it a go!!! THANKS
  • What's a good reply to the following types of questions?

"Just for you to have an idea we are looking to know a little bit more of
your business, like how will you be sending traffic to us, the quantity
and quality of the traffic and any other information you think is
important for us to know so we can have a great business relationship."

What would be a resonable PPC budget and the numbers you'd expect? I've always focused on organic SERPS. And targeting??

    Thanks guys...

    A

    • Traffic: PPC straight to CPA

Although, when you are in - you can use better methods.
    • Al, I've been accepted in every major CPA network that I've applied to, and my main website for my CPA interests is pretty crappy if you ask me, and it gets like maybe 50 uniques per day from organic search traffic.

From what i've seen, they just want you to answer the phone when they call you to verify 2 things:
      1. you are from the US or Canada (hey, no offense to the non US or Canadian users here, but 99.9% of the offers on the large CPA networks are US and Canada only...and the Canada part is a stretch)
      2. you are an 'honest' affiliate and not trying to hide your identity or location

I've never had anyone ask about my PPC budget, and I'd probably tell them to kma if they did.

And really, #2 is the biggie. CPA networks are a fraud magnet...listing a valid phone # and actually speaking to the AM when they call is a BIG deal. It goes pretty far to prove you aren't trying to hide anything.

  • thanks this info was very useful i will try
  • Nice guide. But I've also got into networks when I've told them that I dont use PPC, big networks too. If you let them know that you know a lot about driving traffic organically then they're happy with that too.
