Why PPC and not free traffic SEO?

I'm sort of doing online CPA marketin. But everytime I did research or go thru CPA related threads, they will mention PPC. Is PPC really required for CPA marketing? why not use free traffic thru SEO? I mean I am a newbie, so using paid traffic method is definitely a NO-NO situation for me. I have read somewhere that it is much targeted but you also can do research on local monthly searches to get targeted free traffic right?
So it is possible to be successful in CPA marketing (as in earning 1k/month) with SEO? if so is there like a course that related to this?

I want to assure you that PPC is highly effective , if you do it the right way .

But , you don't necesary need to start with PPC.

Start with free traffic sources like SEO and you can diversify your traffic sources with paid traffic like PPC once you get enough money for testing .

I'd start with free methods such as SEO. You can reinvest your money into PPC after a while. Your first step is to study the market not to make money! After you have done your homework money will flow to your bank account!

I used to do SEO in order to drive traffic too. But SEO thing is tiring and it's a long term process by using white-hat method.
I'm a newbie in PPC too and I'm playing in PoF. Still in learning and testing stage. It's a great experience for me.

You may diversify your streams of income. SEO is a medium term goal for CPA where you have to find I niche to be comfortable work with. Once you have stabilized traffic and fit the right CPA offers it is required maintenance and updates. PPC, PPV, media buys are ways to have earnings in a short period of time however it is required a upfront budget, testing, tracking and scaling. With both you have hard working and results.

because people are too lazy to build long term income, they'd rather burn their money quickly in hope that they will see money tomorrow

    that's the main point

PPC is faster to test and easier to scale. Nowadays, I work only with PPC and media buys and have absolutely no traffic coming from SEO. This is the way I like to work because I can make tests quickly, spot winners and then take them to a high level and make good money in a relatively short period of time.

However, it doesn't mean that SEO isn't good. In fact, if you have no experience and money to invest I do NOT recommend you to go with PPC. Get your foot wet with free advertising, learn as much as you can about your market, make a budget and just then give paid advertising a shot.

Doing some MediaBuys and AdSwaps is a little more cost effective as a strategy while you are building up your SEO presence. Also consider outsourcing some of your SEO to speed up the process. Once you have made a few sales, maybe move into PPC.

No, you def do NOT need to use PPC to promote CPA offers, it's just one way that has been proven to have good successful results. SEO can work as well, but can be a little tricky with CPA offers..

But yes - you can def become successful with just SEO. If your looking for a course that teaches SEO - check out Wealthy Affiliate or Affiliit

I started with free traffic sources received over 400,000 uniques without PPC, averaging about 3000 users a day. I suggest you start that way, get some $$$ from it. then move onto PPC, with everything you learn about the internet, visitors and conversions, PPC is a lot easier now.

PPC isn't the necessary way to run CPA, but it's the more effective way to play CPA game, of course, before start trying PPC, SEO and free traffic will be a good choice.

The question I have with PPC is where are you sending the visitors? Are you sending them directly to the offer page or to a 1 page landing page or what?

I usually send them to a landing page or a squeeze page. If you direct link on PPC, you risk getting slapped with low quality score because Google doesn't like affiliate offers very much.

Are those 1 page landers/squeeze pages? Or do you have multiple landing pages on a single domain?

Unless you are in a tight competition field (such as diet, pe#is enlrgmnt etc), or unless you have already free source of income, you should start with basic SEO. You will have to do your SEO anyway, even if you pay for the traffic

      All the best,

Old thread, but I'll chip in.

SEO is great for Lead Gen, but you have to do things correctly.

    1. Build upon a Niche, not a product. CPA offers come and go over night.
    2. Have plenty of content dedicated to those keywords you choose in your keyword research, but try not to focus on Products too much.
    3. GET THEIR EMAIL ADDRESS! Setup a chain of emails to automatically send emails with good advice, but also offers that are relevant. You can even ask your AM how you can achieve this. You can setup offer walls on the backend, too.
    4. Don't look spammy and set it up for long-term. Don't follow advice of those who say you should set it up for quick cash or something. Look legit, be legit and make USEFUL content on the front end (site) and back end (emails).

You can also find a good network that can help monetize your data and can do revshare on your list(s).
